ATTENTION PLEASE - GAME IS UNFINISHED EDIT: The game HAD the potential of becoming one of the best strategy games. Unfortunately the development team does not update the game anymore at all. I orginally upvoted the game for the potential I saw but right now it's just unfinished and broken so I actually CANNOT recommend it anymore + PROS * Easy to learn * Fun to play * No unnecssary and boring stuff just pure strategy and tactics * Good core gameplay * Different maps (could still have more content - I would even pay extra) - CONS * Game has technical issues - as soon as your country gets too big the game crashes because it can't calculate the next turn anymore * No resolution over 1080p supported * Autosave feature doesn't work * Translations broken and unfinished (German language version not very good - not even the country names are translated) * Gameplay mechanics broken - it is possible to form an alliance with EVERY enemy at once. When having an alliance with someone he will ...

About This Game
The game has a huge number of development options and you can play 10 games that will be completely different and not similar to each other. High replayability is probably one of the main trump cards of the Generals and Rulers.
1207 is the year when the world began to learn about the Mongol invasion. It seems that Asia can still confront them, and in Europe the Holy Roman Empire dominates. Whether you want to play for the Mongol Horde or choose any of the other 80 countries - it's up to you.
What is in the game in terms of numbers:
- 2.000 regions on 2 maps
- 50 playable countries on each map
- 32 types of sciences
- 10 types of troops
- 5 types of attacks on neighboring countries
- The length of each batch of 2 hours
- Wars and battles, Rebels, Influence of religion, Mercenaries, Diplomacy, Spying, Trade relations with other countries, Advanced AI and of course Science, Building armies, Improvment of units

I really did want to like this, but it really lacks any purpose. It feels more like a very cheap phone game than anything worth 12 dollars. There is no strategy, and i feel baffeled by the many reviews mentioning that. All you do is set how many troops are going to invade, then hit done, then you might win and take a small number of provinces. Very dull.
Can this be called "strategy Game"? Where is the strategy? the only mechanics you can make use of are "peace" and "war". Is that diplomacy?! Well, let's give the bellic factor a go... Oh wait, where are the units? I can't see them... why can't I leader them to conquer the specific province I want? Don't worry! "we have supressed the most boring elements of strategy games! (including strategy and war management). To sum up: THIS GAME IS A BAD JOKE!
For some reason, I haven't finished this game while it was still supported by the developer, while the achievements were still working and all that. The most obvious point, I've got bored the same hour I've started this game. And now, at this moment (the year 2020, late August) the game is totally unworthy of any time or money invested. Oh, sure, it is still working in some basic sense of this word. You can pick a country, either in the West (Europe, North Africa, Near East Asia) or East (the most part of Asia), and you can lead it to the world conquest. Theoretically, you can do something else, like trade, diplomatic negotiations, spy work, and idling - but that's a way to defeat. On the contrary, if you pick any country which has at least some resources, and don't have active truces with all the neighbors (like some of the Russian states), and start a war with the neighbor, in the end, after the game several times will count you as a winner, you may finish your [url=https://steamcom...
The developers of this game are basically lying. There is no tactic or strategy at all and instead of taking all the annoying grinding out of it, that is the only thing left in the game, while everything else got removed. This game COULD be a good game with a lot work, because the idea behind it is good, but nobody in their right mind should listen to the devs or positive reviews, because right now paying 10€ for this game, is basically the same as getting scammed. Pros: - Actually not complicated, easy to pick up - Map painting is always satisfying - Huge variety of countries and more or less historical accuracy concerning borders and population Cons: - Bugged, very bugged - No strategy or tactics, just grinding - Lying devs who probably paid for some of the positive reviews - Bugged - Wrong religions for almost all countries when starting certain scenarios (not like Religion really matters in this game, seems cosmetic) - One of the worst UI's I have seen in a long time - Addin...
Own the game, like it, continue to play it--as much as I can The BIGGEST drawback is Game has technical issues - as soon as your country gets too big the game crashes because it can't calculate the next turn anymore. While other countries can have lots of land --if you get too much game crashes---even with saving every other turn--it will crash and you will not be able to pass that point--- I wish they would fix that!!
I bought the game on the recommendation of a friend who never advises crap, and was absolutely satisfied. Singleplayer is extremely meditative and allows you to disconnect from everything that happens around for an hour or two. Co-op turns the game into an insane race and fun that real people contribute to it. When playing against the AI, you roughly understand the further course of events, when playing with people, anything can happen, and this makes the game even more fun. I recommend it for co-op with friends.
I was fond of the game. In general it is quite simple but dynamic. Pretty good, the game is addictive. It is quite fun that almost every time you occupy half of the world, and the second half of the world is occupied by another super country. And at the end the epic war to rule the world begins))
It helps to relieve the brain. A simple casual strategy for those who do not want to learn for 10 hours just to play a game. I put off some games for months after the purchase, just because I am lazy. If you are so lazy too, this game is for you. And me ;)
I am skeptical of the "very positive" review average this game has. It is the thinnest / shallowest game I have ever seen. Even the most basic features don't work. I would not play this as a free iphone game.
