It could use a bit more english and explanation TBH. I'm of course comparing this to Darkest dungeon and also Deep Sky Derelicts (can't compare it to "Slay the spire" as I never played it) and they both had a bit of terminology going that didn't make much sense but you got the info needed quite easily. This game relies on your knowledge of how Darkest dungeon handled the term "weakened" to get what effect it has in this game as it's quite bad at explaining a lot of things. I don't get what "Taunt" does in this game, the description is: "Gain 8 blocks Gain 3 forward" I couldn't play it even if I tried with the fourth bloke in the queue, which could make sense as he'd be tanking at the front, what use it'd have on anyone else outside of "rear bloke" I don't get as the ones in front won't even let you try to use the card... Final verdict after playing for "no time at all", only beating one of the heroes is: If you're going to play it as an english speaker/reader, wait and see how thi...

This game has an interesting concept but it lacks a lot of polish, too much to even be considered EA and the version numbers back up that claim for me. This game is heavilty StS and darkest dungeon. except their is so little polish you might as well have been handled a plank of wood and be told to have fun with that. The tutorial is unhelpful, you only do one battle and see very little of the rooms. when you get to one of elites of the game the tutorial goes nope the characters retreat and you are back at the main menu. its just a bunch of text boxes anyway. Movement in the game is restricted with only cards and before fights. like in darkest dungeon however unlike that game, you can not manually move your fighters during a fight to lets say if you made a mistake or an enemy moves the monsters so the attacks are out of range, which can happen a lot. so hope you like having one party memeber be useless every fight. early elites are unbalanced, they cripple you so hard after an encoun...
A Slay the Spire knock off, sure. But a good one. It is a little confusing at first, but has a ton of depth. Definitely worth the price tag; I would feel like I got my moneys worth at triple the cost.
Value 11/10 £2 this is a bargin! but one you will want to play, for hours, good sense of progression good to excellent replay value Originality 5/10 Slay the spire meets darkest dungeon with hatching eggs, i guess no ones put it together like this so thats a good idea Graphics 6/10 little bit the wrong side of basic but i cant stress enough the game is £2 Gameplay Tactical Depth 8/10 slay the spire style relics, a team of 4 to equip and different cards locked to creatures you find, pretty deep by any standards. UI 6.5/10 battles workable but lack polish small cards under your 4 units could do with better colour coding, counter intuitive navigation between levels but not a deal breaker Verdict: In a way it would be good if it cost more would love to see this developed more its really good and really under priced for what you get, its different enough to not be a clone but familiar enough for fans of card dungeon games like slay the spire as it is theres nothing to loose fo...
an absolutely insane game..mixing elements from slay the spire, deep sky derelicts and monster catching games but doing them in it's own mad, brilliant way,. it needs a few bug-fixes here and there and a proper tutorial rather than the highly entertaining but not very informative piece of pure craziness that serves as one at the present time, but i love this game. The graphics, the monster modification, the anarchic sillyness, the suprisingly good strategic gameplaty, bizarre sound effects and the sheer randomnity of this game are just a breath of fresh air...but by far the maddest thing about this little gem is the price: 2 quid..2 measly quid...you can't get a sandwich for 2 quid these days...brilliant stuff..whoever made this is a warped genius.. buy the damn thing!!
This game should not receive any negative reviews. $2.99 (full-price) is really a tiny price to pay for such a silly but fairly fun game (that looks very similar to games like Darkest Dungeon but uses cute/quirky little blue slime blobs and other fun critters).
For the price its impossible to not be impressed by this title. Somewhere along the way you'll wonder where the line between paying homage and copying blurs. I've seen numerous comparisons to Slay the Spire, but this game has numerous mechanics beyond deck-building. The character system requires that you add cards to one of your units' decks in order to grant them additional HP, making it harder to build a deck centered around 1 universal theme. Due to the multiple decks you'll often find it difficult to make four decks that compliment eachother in the field. A fair amount of the game feels somewhat imbalanced, but I think thats part of its charm, its a strange wacky deck-builder dungeon-crawler.
Yes I recommend it, with a big ol BUT.. BUT this game is nowhere near as polished as most of the games it is emulating. I understand it is in Early Access, but it doesn't really feel like there's been any improvements to what everyone else complains about since I opened it last in July 2019. No detailed explanations(I still have no idea how to use any of the items you can equip on your team), the ESL can be tough to navigate for some, my kids had no idea what to do in a few parts until I encouraged them to just "click around a little bit". All in all it's a fun glimpse of what could be a great game if the devs would fix the issues the community has complained about already.
Slay The Spire's child raised by Darkest Dungeon. Lacks a bit of work, But overall pretty fun.
UI is a bit clunky. The art style might turn some people off, but for just a few bucks it is a pretty good little game. Don't expect too much from it and you will probably be pleased.
