America's Retribution Term 2

This is only a first impressions based review, because I've only made it to the second level of this game. I loved the first America's Retribution, and so far, I'm really liking Term 2. The controls feel good, I love the weapons and I love all the references to everything that surrounded the 2016 American Presidential election and onward from there. Whenever I beat this game, I will update this review accordingly. Bottom line: This game, as well as the first one, are worth buying and playing (at least one playthru).

This game is TREMENDOUS! Everything is improved over the first game and the references and gags are hilarious. Leave your safe space, because this game can offer quite a challenge! If you grew up loving games like Mega Man, Metal Slug, Contra or Gunstar Heroes then this is right up your ally. If you love OR hate Trump, you will enjoy this! (Ed is also a great developer that listens to his fans. I emailed him about a glitch that appeared immediately after completing the game; within an hour he fixed it and the update was already available on Steam!)

If you like the old style console games like Contra, Gunstar Heroes, Joe and Mac you will like this game. If you like Trump, you will love this game. What ever the case may be this is a fun game. I have played a lot of 2D shooting games and what makes this game stand out is the funny political satire that comes with playing the game. Every so often you are treated to a funny video that pokes fun of the situation you are in. GRAPHICS - 8/10 The graphics reminds me of games from the SNES. I will be honest, I feel like some of the art seems to be from the original console games. But, altered enough to avoid copyright infringement. Sometimes it feels like I'm playing diffent games because of the graphics used. But, the rest of the art is nice and funny. Especially when it pokes fun of certain topics. It is a well-made game, with some major compatibility errors with Steam. Aside from a strange glitch where 2nd stage boss turned red, my only complaint is achievements don't work at all, and taking screenshots just for this game is impossible...no screenshots by other users either...kinda weird.

I can't seem to stream this game. OBS completely blacks out, and wont show this game. I wanted to do a special stream on Twitch, but OBS and the Twitch stream program won't show the gameplay. If you are gonna play to have fun absolutely just know it seems to be shadowbanned for streaming.
