When it comes to Mega Man inspired platformers this one falls somewhere in the middle, the animation and gameplay are good, but the content is very limited. You can select the order of the stages and get power-ups from boss kills, as one would expect. If I am not mistaken there are 5 platforming stages and 6 boss fights, 4 of them drop power-ups which you can select during any level. I don't mind short games, but this one is around 1 hour so keep that in mind. Apparently, you can get an alternate ending if you collect 4 hidden bears, so perhaps it could add another playthrough. It's a relatively easy game because you have a generous amount of maximum life, that may be a good or a bad thing depending on your preference. I actually like the backgrounds and obstacles during the levels, but you can finish most of them in 5 minutes. I enjoyed it for what it was, the soundtrack was great, but I think it could have been better with some achievements and a few extra stages.
Pros:...

KUMACURE is ok. its like mega man with the charged shot and power slide and 4 boss abilities but its really easy when it's not dropping things on your head. the last boss also has a bit of a difficulty spike and there are only 7 levels. overall its a good mega man clone but on the easy side. 5/10
A fun little Megaman clone. Sadly, pretty light on content, but what's there is fun. The graphics and music are amazing, and this project shows just what the Pixel Game Maker engine is capable of.
Its the slowest platformer i've ever played. I have an i7 and a capable GTX 1070 and the frame rate seems to be <30. Developer, please make the game faster like the advertised trailer. At the moment, gameplay is extremely slow for a platformer.
Long time MegaMan fan here. This game makes me very happy!! I have long wished that Capcom would continue to make MegaMan games the way they used to back in the 80s and 90s. You know, with excellent music, attractive graphics, interesting bosses, normal gameplay... When I played MegaMan 11, I couldn't find any of these things. It came out years ago and to this day I'm just left wondering where the appeal is... Kumacure has answered me on all of these things, it looks really cute and polished, it's the kinda game that I just see 1 screenshot of it and Im already in love! Its music is good and catchy as heck! It's a very small game, but fitting of the price. I see this as a game that should become a series, and it already is a favorite for me!! PLEASE!! I would LOVE sequels, I'd play 10 or more games like this! I'd pay more if the games were bigger!
A fun and cute Megaman clone, that's really all there is to say although it's pretty easy and 30 minutes long. There's 4 levels/abilities to get (I found myself just using the charge shot though) and a couple Wily tower-esque final levels and boss.
A really poor megaman like game. Level design is super rough and the bosses are stupid hard
Bought this game after I saw it, thought it would be great. I started playing it and right away the music was great, the combat was extremely similar to that of a megaman game, and the art was spectacular. However; I stopped playing this game for a while as it’s kind of hard, and I pretty much suck at all games, so I pretty much abandoned it for a while. But one day I decided to pick it up again, and it was a blast. The game presents you with four bosses you can fight, defeating them grants you a limited version of their power. And towards the end of the game it makes you fight all of them in the reverse order that you obtained their powers. And then the Final fight. I shall not spoil anything for you but in my inexperienced experience it’s damn hard. And the music. Is. Rockin’. Honestly it’s a shame this game was so short and also a shame it’s not as recognized by the media. 8/10 game. Would play again. (The only thing I’d change would be the length of the game… and may...
Short and Sweet. We live in a world where good games can be made with engines that don't rely too much on programming know-how and that is what this game represents!
Very simple game that can be beated in 30 minutes. Not too hard, easier that a megaman game, you can pretty much hold forward and brute force your way through the levels and be able to beat without much effort, even with the life system. I really like the music. But the real point of the game is to show what the Pixel game maker engine can do in a quick matter of time for a low price. The project files given with the game are also very educationally interesting too if you want yourself to work with this engine and use some part of this game as base for yours, that's very cool. Tho I won't really recommand it for people that are not interested by these kind of things and just want a new indie MegaMan game, just keep that in mind. Otherwise, its fine for what it is.
