About This Game

Little Dungeon Stories is a pixel art roguelike card-based game inspired by adventure, combat and RPG games such as Zelda, Enter the Gungeon & Reigns.

A recent rumor says that a certain crypt keeps an unfathomable treasure. While a handful of intrepid adventurers have already ventured into the cave, none have returned and now their souls travel within this deep dungeon. Without being intimidated by danger, you enter the crypt...

  • An Unpredictable Dungeon - Each floor of the Dungeon brings you new items, monsters, deadly traps, all types of curses, and areas to explore as you try to keep your Health, Energy, Humanity, and your Money to the maximum.
  • Enchanted Items - Discover magic items, powerful weapons, and shields to combat the imminent dangers.
  • Shops - Replenish with the stores you find, but be careful not to spend more than you owe...
  • Status effects - The dungeon is dangerous, and as if that were not enough, enemies, items and actions will make your character suffer different status effects that will change the way you play.
  • Unlockable classes, Weapons, & Companions - The more you play, the greater the chance you'll unlock new cards and content within the Dungeon.
  • Explore the Crypt - Explore five unique areas each with their own set of dangers such as monsters, unique bosses, and traps.

This is a replayable card RPG with a non-linear plot and a very heavy load of choices, because the whole story depends on your choices. There is a lot of variety in it. Each playthrough will give certain nice enhancements that will help with a new playthrough. Therefore, feel free to play it over and over again. At first glance, it may seem boring - but I assure you...it's incredibly cool! I don't know why I only decided to play it now. I love deciding the fate of the main character in the game. If you do too - take a closer look at the game and it will give you hours of fun

The game has a number of advantages that distinguish it from others, namely: 1) It is a mixture of 2 genres - card game and roguelike, which are rarely found on the Steam store; 2) The game has a large number of different game items, monsters with which you have to fight; 3) Unlockable content - as far as possible, you can unlock new classes of heroes, new locations. Of course, these are not all the advantages, there are many others in it, including musical accompaniment. I think the game is worth the money and cool enough for its price!

Cool game, brightened up my evening) I recommend it to those who are tired of standard projects and want to have fun with something new. Convenient and beautiful menu, the simplicity of the gameplay pleases ... There is a balance in the game, which is very pleasing, thanks! The developer has clearly tried on his product, the game is worth its money. The game has a system of achievements, which is very pleasing)) Here is such a short "reviewer", if I may call it that. Good luck, I'm waiting for similar games from the developer)

Have not played extensively but want to give some initial feedback as the game has few reviews right now. I was looking forward to this coming out because it looked like something I could play for those times when I don't feel like doing something brain-intensive. Some games are fun but can still feel like homework. I wanted something to fit along nicely with listening to some music or an audio book. And yet that was a notch above tetris or minesweeper as far as the level of involvement it takes and interest it arouses. This game is exactly that. If you are looking for something in the ball park of what I described, this is it. It's perfect. Though early, I feel it will have plenty of replayability. There are many encounter options. It does a neat job of taking the concept of binary choices and keeping it interesting in the way earlier choices affect later outcomes. All your stats are actually pretty important, not the typical dungeon diver where you really just need a ton of...

Well, I didn't actually receive this game for free, I received it as a compensation when developer failed to complete his other game, Medieval Shopkeeper Simulator. Good, now I have two abandoned and broken games in my steam library instead of one... Last update for Little Dungeon Stories was more than a year ago, it added freezing mechanics which... I don't know how it works since it triggers for no apparent reason and shows "Poisoned" in a tooltip. And dedicated Antifreeze potion does not work at all. And... well, that's all. This fact says absoultely clearly WHAT kind of a game Dungeon Stories is and WHAT kind of a developer made it.

The game is very 'meh'. The game consists of max 150 swipes just like tinder, but with RPG options. I got to 80 in my first run, 120 in my 2nd, and completed the 150 in my third. That means the game is finished, the end? Way to small for the asking price, my playtime is 57 minutes. Thats less than 1 hour of conent with little to no replay value (you get the same stuff over and over again). It does have potention, but needs to be at least 3 times as big. 5/10, would not recommend.

The game and concept is great but really feel empty after few try you can feel that there is not much cards you keep seeing same items and events again and again they really need to put like 10x the cards is already in there so that why i have to say that i cant recommande this game even if the concept is great the life for this game is too short.

Starts off with a good concept but far too short and the events are random so sometimes useless events show up. There is also not much variability in the types of events. Character stats are random and unable to be customised except a one-off buff choice at the start. Boss rewards are not unique, just giving you a refill of resources. The game ends at floor 150 (if you get there that far with rng. I've played 7 hours and got there 4 or 5 times) and replayability is limited. I feel a bit disappointed as this is basically completed on release and not in early access where much of the content could be improved. Would need a moderate amount of improvement for me to recommend it.

I'm almost at the point of not recommending the game. It's super cool. The concept is fantastic. And besides the tiny issues like poor grammar/language or some lacking logic, it's really an awesome game. The only thing that really bugs me is that TONS of events/cards/equipment have effects that you are never warned about. You will see a good looking event, and go for the option that gives you resources, but then get completely fucked elsewhere, without knowing that it would happen. Even worse, you end up going for events that look negative when you can, because you are sure there is a hidden good side to it. The last drop for me made me write this review. I was offered a red orb, and I could either take it to gain 15 health, or break it and loose 25 health. Obviously I don't want to loose health and gain nothing from it, so I took the 15 health even thought I was almost full. And guess what? I lost both my torches (which is the maximum amount you can have!). So I just did what looked...
