About the Game

This arcade shoot 'em up has no shooting and you can only turn right. Avoid waves of enemies and get points as they crash into each other. Pick up power-ups, such as a large laser or a force field to destroy the enemies. Die, get a score and repeat to get a higher score the next run.

Avoid and outsmart enemies by figuring out their moving patterns and make them crash into walls or each other.

The game is controlled with a single button because you move forward with no option to brake and you can only turn right.

Pick up power-ups to make it easier to destroy enemies.

Kill enough enemies with a power-up to trigger a combo and be rewarded with an additional power-up.

In my first attempt I managed to get 0 pts. The next try I got 2. Then 2 again. Then 4. Slowly but steadily my score increased. Although those simple missteps are frustrating, I found the game to be quite enjoyable. A big plus for being able to gloat when I beat my friend's highscore. At least for the short while that my score was better than theirs.

I found Dextram to be very interesting. Since the game is so minimalistic, you quickly master the "micro" of the game (moving and dodging). Yet for some reason your score is still not very good. Surprisingly, you have to really think about your macro strategy to get anywhere, even after only an hour or two. Strategy games tend to require dozens or hundreds of hours of practice before any strategy is relevant. I have never played a game where you start to think creatively about your strategy so early on. A couple of strategies I devised just 2 hours in: -You can keep the green enemies around as they are not any danger to you, they are a bigger danger to your other enemies. -Delay picking up power-ups if there are only a few enemies on screen -Try to be in the center of the screen when you get an extra power-up, this helps keep your power-up chain going Definitely pick this up if you want a few hours of novel gameplay, with a classic arcade feel :) I would recommend the "waves" mode ov...

Played the demo version of the game a few weeks back, enjoyed it a lot. A fun arcade shooter, style of a game, that easily get you hooked. Now with the full release you get a new game mode which is exiting. Unlockable spaceships and achievements, which will keep you occupied for a while. Definitely a solid game!

A fun arcade shoot'em up with good controls, nice retro graphics and a good soundtrack. The game is easy to learn but hard to master. Getting to the top of the high score list is a must if you own this game!

Really nice game. Looks a bit like Geometry Wars but plays quite different. I heard the dev of the game is really cool.

I have only played for a short time so far, but am really enjoying the game. I can see myself sinking many hours on this to climb up the leader board. Update: This game is dangerously addictive.

Well designed game. I like how the background is dark and the enemies are bright so that it is easy to see what is going on. It looks good and doesn't have excessive, distracting effects. I would recommend it if you have some friends to compete with.

Great game! Easy to learn how to play as it's only possible to rotate in one direction but the game quickly gets challenging in a good way. The graphics and music works well together with the gameplay in inducing the focus necessary to earn a high score that will give you a place on the leaderboard.
