Golden Treasure: The Great Green

Well, after all these years I think it's about time I finally write a review: This game has impacted the way I see nature in a positive way. It holds a special place in my heart ever since I've played it for the first time five years ago, and is one of the best examples of why video games are indeed a form of art! Not only the visual parts but also, and especially, the writing are very beautiful. The music is more simple and subtle (but in my opinion also beautiful), which fits very well with the nature theme of the game. Now, I already mentioned the writing being beautiful but I wish to point out how well done the nonhuman perspecitive is! When you play, the game [i]willl[/i] treat you like the Dragon you are. Your actions (and those of others) are not judged by some human societal standards, but from the perspective of an animal living in the wild. I still have much more positive things to say about the writing, but doing so would mean for me to spoil the game and I think experienci...

This is a truly fantastic game that I've replayed more times than I can count, which has made me cry and think about life and philosophy more than I expected - and I had high expectations. As a dragon myself, the game is phenomenal xenofiction. As a writer, it's got fantastic writing and fascinating worldbuilding. As an artist, the game is visually gorgeous and in many ways stylistically unique, and the design of the Draak-Kin is an extremely cool one. I'm looking forward to Hierophant so, so very much and have adored every moment of playing this game, and recommend this game to people literally every chance I get.

I was not expecting this game to be this good. It's very spiritual in a certain way. It is 100% worth buying.

I see the world in a different way after playing this game. This is a masterpiece in every sense of the word, and I absolutely cannot wait to see what Dreaming Door cooks up next!

I actually first got this game 5 years prior on a different site. I like to think it changed me for the better, as art is meant to help you learn in all sorts of ways. The developers and the fandom have been some great conversation over all this time. I'm excited to see where Dreaming Door Studios goes next :]
