Not normally the type of game I would play, but I love ferrets and thought it was cute. I will update this review as I progress. 1 hour - 3/5 stars: I am enjoying it's simplicity, and relaxing effect of zipping around on the high seas while conducting business. There is VERY little UI and everything is pretty cut and dry. Currently sailing from island to island doing random tasks. Haven't encountered much of any action, just casual sailing. Add multiplayer eventually please, even if it's buggy and terrible, it will open up a world of silliness.

I want to like this game! But there are a few things that make it unplayable for me. The BAD; The worst thing for me is that when you save and exit the game the map is erased. You have your stuff and damage as well but the islands on the map you were on are gone! This a deal breaker for me. When I have to stop playing and do something and come back to pick up where I left off.....You can't. That is stupid and not a feature. I don't care what the devs think. The GOOD: Graphics are simple but the sea looks good. Most machines should be able to play this. I rather like it. The game play is very simple and there is a lot of room to add later to spice things up. I do like the game but the inability to save the game SUX and should be told up front!
buyer beware: this game is abandoned.
Abandoned game. No update in couple of years now and seen like the dev just went AWOL altogether.
You're a captain who loses his ship due to mutiny, left only with a raft, one cannon and his lieutenant. I don't know why you and him are Ferrets or why the game puts so much emphasis on this, but I honestly do not care. It's a straight up pirate game and nothing less. The map is procedurally generated and split into grids. The further a grid is from origin, the stronger the ships roaming in it become. The grids are small enough to traverse them in a few minutes, but large enough to not see any land sometimes. Within each grid you start with a blank map and have to discover islands on your own, or you can buy map data from a cartographer (if you find one). Islands have various houses at which you can dock, like Fishermen, Farmers, Shipwrights, Merchants, Artists, Bankers, etc. You interact with these exclusively through the UI, you never actually leave your ship. In the early game, you'll want to do some trading so you can buy a new ship. Or if you're feeling lucky you can try to bo...
Do you like the cuteness of ferrets? Do you like adventure on the high seas? Then set sail, as these fuzzy noodles become the carpet sharks of the sea. Sail around in an open, randomly generated world of nautical adventure. From small rafts to three-mast tall ships, with loads of customization. You have the option to sail as a Guild Merchant, buying and trading goods with ports and doing odd jobs. There is also the military Admiralty faction, where you may gun down pirates and inspect merchants for black market cargo. Or you can just be a scoundrel with the Pirate faction, where plunder and pillage is the name of the game. There's enough variety to keep you entertained. I'll keep an eye on this early access game and hope it continues to improve.
This game makes you feel like a pirate. Exactly what I was looking for. You'll mostly be sailing the sea and doing quests and looking through shops along with ship battling. The sea is beautiful in this game and I love how the world is made up of all anthro ferrets. The tutorial starts you off just right with everything, but then you suddenly loose it all and go on a fun journey rising back up to power and meeting fun characters along the way.
Pros
-Great Graphic -Great Sound and Music -Decent Controls (wish there was button binding for the camera though) -good fun story -good characters and unlockable customization -easy to understand menus
Cons
-the lighting at night can be too dark -no button binding for camera control -ran into a few minor glitches -can get somewhat boring if you need to sail somewhere far Overall this game is pretty fun if you're into pirates and questing. It has a good amount of content. it probably deserves more attention es...
The part that i was able to play was absolute fun. The dialogues are both fun and sarcastic, there are consequences for the choices you make and a vast open sea to explore. yes there are still some bug and glitches but they are working on it. There is a discord server and the option to send them feedback. So imo i'd say this is a pretty nice game with lots op potential and team that actually wants to improve their product. EDIT: So a little update. After the devs fixed the bug in the tutorial I was able to put in a lot of extra hours of game play and man is it worth it. Some new feature have been added like a world map and local map. More quests and some new items to collect and/or sell. For those wandering about the game, what it is what to do: You start as a cast away on a raft, trying to make a profit, improve your ship and take revenge on someone who stole your ship and part of the treasue map. How you go about achieving all of that is up to you. Either you join one of the 3 ...
I love the flow of the game. You can almost feel the wind in your hair while your sailing. At first the graphics threw me off. I'm not a big poly fan, but it grows on you. It's almost like poly was developed just for this game. It interacts with the total organic feel of the game. It totally immerses me as very few games have. It has a very Sid Meier's Pirate's feel too it as well. Exploring, trading, battle are all seamed together in a very fun way. The only annoying thing for me right now are the sails of the ships. They get in the way of your view when you zoom in all the way, or zoom out all the way. The focal point seems to be locked to where the main mast and lowest yard arm meet. This makes your view blocked by the sail for about a third of your top screen. If they made the sails transparent at a certain zoom level or gave you the option to adjust the opacity of the sails, that would make me happy. Over all this game is great for an early access game. I can't wait to...
