About This Game

NEW WORLD: AETERNUM SEASON OF THE BANNER

Greetings, Adventurers!

Season 9: Season of the Banner launches with the full release of Capture the Flag, a PvP game mode that pits teams against each other in fast-paced, objective-driven battles. Work together to control the battlefield, secure the flag, and earn rewards. This mode builds on the PvP-focused enhancements of past seasons, bringing fresh competition to Aeternum.

About the Game

Explore a thrilling, massive and beautiful world filled with danger and opportunity where you'll forge a new destiny for yourself as an adventurer shipwrecked on the supernatural island of Aeternum. Endless opportunities to fight, forage, and forge await you among the island's wilderness and ruins. Channel supernatural forces or wield deadly weapons in a classless, real-time combat system, and fight alone, with a small team, or in massed armies for PvP and PvP battles—the choices are all yours.

KEY FEATURES:

DISCOVER THE ISLAND OF AETERNUM
For thousands of years, Aeternum has been the source of fantastical legends—and now you've found it. Shipwrecked and without supplies or allied, you'll need to make your way in a dangerous world where supernatural power has changed all the rules.

PLAY YOUR WAY
Play solo or use cross-platform play to team up with others, or compete head-to-head in a variety of PvP battles. Customize the look, skills, and abilities of your character, and experiment with different builds to suit your play style.

SWORDS, GUNS & SORCERY
Arm yourself with brutal melee weapons, ranged artillery, or supernatural powers and jump into New World's classless, real-time action combat system. As you progress you'll be able to determine what you want your gameplay experience to be like—will you act as a protective shield on the front lines of battle? Will you sling spells to support your allies from a safe distance? Only you can decide.

CHOOSE YOUR PLAY STYLE
Choose from seven unique starting archetypes. Each archetype has its own play style. From the Destroyer, a mighty slayer, brutally executing foes with a massive great axe and war hammer to the Mystic, a scholar-warrior who seeks to master the forces of life and death. Choose and change at any point in the game.

SUMMON YOUR MOUNT
Master horses, dire wolves, and lions, each with a unique look, dyeable equipment and a name you can set. Level up your Riding Trade Skill to earn upgrades like increased speeds, buffs and higher tier consumable food for your mount.
Customize your experience with accessibility settings before game play. Tailor audio to your preferences with settings for volume controls, mono sounds, stereo sound, and surround sound. Personalize camera comfort settings, subtitle settings, and alter game inputs via key binding options. Finally, ensure no message is missed with chat text-to-speech and speech-to-text.

I really wish they didn't abandon their core backers. I bought the game before it came out... and I have loved every minute I've spent in the game. Up until the payed DLC, I had done just about everything... and I loved it. The game is beautiful, the combat is skill based and fun... it's just MY RPG. However they decided to make a payed DLC and abandoned the people they told they would never sell DLCs to years ago.

New World is in a good place. It has gone through some really baron periods, but having resolved its teething issues, reinvigorated the MSQ and game content, it is now something I can confidently recommend for those with an appetite to PVP, PVE and craft/farm in game materials.

I had fun with this game, I just wish it could pick a direction and stick to it. Not a huge fan of the way it's monetised either.

Game is great, all these people who have said negative things about the server merger for OCE server, they are wrong. There is a OCE server. Game feels full of life with crossplay active. Dont listen to the negative reviews if youre considering purchasing the game. Majority of those people like to complain about everything. Recommend giving it a go if you want a good MMO

Not a bad game, however when you lock what should be a core feature, mounts behind a dlc, you know where you can stick your game and your dlc.

New World: Aeternum is an absolute joy to play. The world is stunning, and as I level up, I find myself completely immersed and eager to explore every corner. I love the freedom of having no set classes and being able to play the way I want. There’s always something to do, from crafting and gathering to participating in a vibrant, player-driven economy. Even with my limited playtime, the game feels relaxing and rewarding, letting me unwind while enjoying beautiful visuals and great mechanics. It’s the perfect blend of exploration, creativity, and freedom.

Almost no effort to eradicated bots, server maintenance starts at 2200 ( prime time for play ) , bugs last for months, last discord update 10 months ago. Feel game has been abandoned by devs. Shop link works, and always up

Only had about less than 100 hours of gameplay and I am enjoying the game so far. Purchased the base game years ago and now came back & got the DLC and it became much better in terms of gameplay, storyline, and lot more.
