The top review right now has a massive number of reactions, and a decent number of comments, and for good reason; the truth is that Krafton as a company sucks, and James should have taken more care in who he threw his weight behind when it came to his game. To clarify, I refuse to touch this game in any capacity since the partnership with Krafton, for the following reasons: While James is still the developer, any further purchases related to the game have the money split between himself and Krafton - that's how a partnership works - and I simply don't believe that every small indie dev is a divine gift from heaven and should be treated like their work is pure gold. I am not of the opinion that giving Krafton money is a sensible decision just because some other guy I don't know would also get money at the same time. Even just continuing to be a player, outside of Krafton's tendency to take as much personal data as it possibly can, will make their numbers look better to stakeholders - ...

Very fun game, but it has a really big flaw: there should've been a save button that allows you to save the progress, or wait out the night. I was playing multiplayer with my friend, and I forgot to bring my sleeping bag over while being stuck on the shop purchasing quest. With the shop being closed at night and the late night stage not progressing, one of us was forced to quit the game and lose the progress he made over the entire day. That was a really annoying experience.
This game is a exercise in frustration. Everything is so poorly balanced. Tools degrading and breaking is super annoying but becomes expensive and a hassle to balance. Do I need to purchase a couple back ups in case the shop is closed when I need one? Ill use copper ore to upgrade them but they last only slightly longer. Copper ore becomes increasingly rare so I purchase the deed for the deep mines which costs 250k. After 3 days waiting in game the mine is finished. Now you need to buy a one day license to go under ground for another 30k. Get that and go underground, completely pitch black. Guess I should have thought to bring torches or buy the flashlight for another 10k. Randomly agro a alpha croc, kills me in the town, respawn the next day and the croc is still in the town. Villagers ask for things that are impossible to provide. Oh I need flour, should have had the money on the one day the travelling guest that sells those seeds was there, planted 10 days ago and then had the ...
If you have 100% Stardew, Animal Crossing, even Minecraft, and you are bored with them - you need to play Dinkum.

This game is like Stardew & Animal crossings grindier baby
I have played through Stardew & Animal Crossing multiple times and I love it but I know how to complete it so quickly that I soon get bored with it! Dinkum uses the best parts from the genre of games. I've tried a few others that are in the "genre" but nothing ever really scratches the itch that the previous mentioned games give. Dinkum does it all right. There are skills that you upgrade, you get better tools and better recipes with higher skill levels. The licenses in the game are similar to the nook miles rewards system but they are unlocked right away with the Permit Points so you can begin playing the game exactly how you want to. The progression is not predictable, this game takes a little time to figure out in the best way possible. A large enou...
The charm this game had is no longer there. A good game now suddenly being milked for all its worth. Good going Krafton. Another game to the 'ruined by greedy as f*** publishers' pile. If anyone's gonna get their panties in a bunch and try to defend the multi-billion corpo-rats, just watch. It's a 'boiling the frog' scenario, in that it's a slow burn to the ens***tification to come.
Sold out to a bad company. The game is currently suffering now as updates to the actual game content and bug fixes have stopped. Abandon ship, folks.
Severe bugs ruined everything
The game SUCKS in the multiplayer mode as a guest. If the guest goes to bed earlier than the host for like 10 minutes, they will be shadow disconnected. They can still walk around, but they can't save or proceed to the next day. Everything you've harvested and every quest you've endeavored to complete is FuhCKlNG LOST. Nothing is more annoying. The game brings me so much more bad feelings than pleasure.
You only need to look at the news Krafton has been involved in recently to understand that it's never a good thing to support this Publisher. It's a shame because the game itself is very fun from the little I played, but still. If i could get a refund for a game I brought a while ago and played more than 2 hours of, I'd absolutely be gunning for one.
Animal crossing in AUS. Very fun, if a little shallow in some places.
Bought this game years ago, came back and nothing's really changed but it's full release. Still feels like it needs polishing, and overall just feels boring and bland. This just feels like a lifeless Animal Crossing.
