First of all, I really like the concept of this game! the XCOM style turn based grid system feels great. I only encountered a couple of bugs from my playthrough, the first bug was at the spawner level, on a couple of the spawners one zombie would be outside of the building eventhough this zombie is placed in the actual spawner building in game. The second "bug" was on the last level, when I attempted to click the item to pickup; I learnt I had to click on the actual square it was on. (it would make it feel a lot better if we could click the item too.) What I like: I really like the polygon style graphics that the game offers, I think this works really well with the concept of zombies and gunslingers. The spawner mechanic feels great, essentially you shoot through zombies until you reach the building they're coming out of and your character goes into the house and kills every zombie in there one by one, this feels great mid way through a mission. The missions were a bit varied su...

About This Game
Apparently this time there was nothing special in last night's Whiskey. This time it's happening for real Welcome in Weird West where rules have changed.
Gunslingers & Zombies is an action-adventure strategy game hilariously mixing two beloved pop-culture themes: the Wild West and the undead. Become one of the triggermen facing the zombie apocalypse. Plan your tactics, and bring it to life-fighting turn-based duels. Enjoy the Wild West with a twist in a lightweight, post-apocalypse scenario, where nothing is normal. Face a variety of themed undead such as the mighty Buffalo Zombie! Let those zombies taste your pistols, rifles, canons, or knives, and make sure they’ll regret the day they were… erhm… they went undead.
You have a choice, shoot, or get eaten.
Gunslingers and Zombies:
"Go West", they said. "Adventure and easy money await", they said. The problem is the only green things that matter now are trying to eat us alive.

Another case where a middle-of-the-road recommendation is needed. For $6 its a nice little tactical game. As of right now, there really isn't a whole lot here. The only reason I'm voting it down is because Hard West exists and is also set in a supernatural Western story, but it also has deeper and more compelling base gameplay while routinely going on sale for around the same price point as this game. I'd say if you're on a tight budget and want a fun little tactical squad based game, this is alright. As it is an early access game, I'm hoping future updates add more to the game. Its just too simple right now, with too little content for me to recommend it.
plays well once you figure out the goals - no idea how to save progress though
Gunslingers and Zombies (GAZ for short) is a low-poly XCOM-lite featuring... gunslingers vs zombies. The low-poly look is charming, and combat mechanics is a LITTLE janky, but once you got the hang of it, it's a cute little game for the low price. The story is pretty dumb... seems after a night of over-indulging, you found yourself in the middle of a zombie apocalypse in the Old West... and you must rely on your trusty weapons, from rifle to shotgun, from revolver to knife, surviving against a horde of zombies will not be fun. The game is a bit more tactical than it first appears, as flanking do a lot more damage vs shoot at first guy you see, and your weapon range is quite short (almost as short as what a zombie can job in one turn), encouraging you to exploit bounding overwatch (where half of your group move and the other half wait for enemies to come into range). However, tactical aid seems to be a bit short, such as weapon range, which is necessary so I can plan the moves. An...
For a casual Western-themed zombie shooter, this is just fine. It's simple, but with enough of a challenge, and it is glitch-free and entertaining. There are two chapters with five scenarios in each chapter, and the first chapter took me about two hours of game-play (on the 'normal' setting, but there are harder and easier settings), and the second took about the same amount of time. It is mostly story-free, there is no real dialogue, and it's very linear...but for a casual time-killer, it was just what I was looking for, and considering that I got this on sale for about $2.50, it was a steal. Other than being overly simplistic, the only other negative is the relative non-replayability. A harder setting won't make it more interesting, just more difficult in non-tactical ways.
Simplistic and dreadfully unpolished TBS game.
Pretty good! Could be better. RATING 5/10
Easy recommendation if you want a light, casual tactical game set in the wild west shooting at zombies in a turn based game good graphics and music to suit the theme You manage a crew of gunfighters each one has there own talents to survive ,scavenge ,explore the world and resolve the zombie mystery it's good fun recommended if you into turn-based games
Easy recommendation if you want a light, casual tactical game. There are better out there, but six bucks is more than fair and I've enjoyed this. I went in expecting something of an X-Com light and it's definitely not what I found. There's nothing of a metagame, or RPG mechanics, meaningful story or characters, or survival mechanics... only 10 fairly simplistic tactical maps to overcome with a few objectives in each to earn 3 star ratings. It's the mobile game version of a tactics game. The tactics, while simplistic, are well enough done. You have two action points to move, shoot or loot and face a good variety of mission objectives. But where it really stands out as unique for me is the way they balanced the game. Ammo is relatively limited and the zombies can take some hits. This leads to an increased reliance on flanking so that you can get the one shot kills. You'll be making aggressive plays like rushing past the zombies, or waiting for them to move into an advantageous positi...
Całkiem miła i relaksująca gra. Grafika prosta, kreskówkowa - pasuje do lekkiego klimatu gry. Interfejs intuicyjny, przyjazny.
