Spin Rhythm XD

An absolute joy to play with a fine-tuned difficulty curve that ensures charts are both approachable to genre newcomers whilst challenging those who wish to master every facet of the controls. For the EDM/pop gang, the custom song community is also thriving. Almost as simple as osu! in regards to injecting custom tracks into the game. I initially bought this in early access, enjoyed it but didn't fully appreciate the depth. Returning to it now, I'm delighted how significant a glow-up it's received and the final track-list is stellar. Don't skip.

easy to learn but tough as nails to master, especially on later difficulties. and it's also probably the closest experience i've had to playing a rhythm game on a real arcade

The game is good and original. Lots of songs, but not really to ym taste, which is why I probablt won't play dozens of hours. Also i really dislike the spin moves and how they force you to prespin so you never miss one, messing with your rythm because it's a different timing than regular notes.

The note types you'll see are largely match, taps, spins, scratches and beats. The game has over 60 songs filled with a large selection of electronic tunes, great for EDM fans. Though if that doesn't catch your fancy, at the time of this review, there is 2 DLC Packs; [i]Monstercat[/i] for the electronic fans that love the label, and [i]Chillhop[/i] for the fans that wants to study or work without either exceeding cortisol levels or to slumber peacefully with your head on the desk. Not gonna lie, would love to see more music packs that have different genres... but that is before we even tal...
