This game is utter dog shit. "Let's put RPG elements to a genre that doesn't need them." "Let's make cringe ass characters, hell, let's just make sure everyone hates the game from the start" "YO MARK! Can you put those loot boxes here I saw in toktik or whatever the kids use these days!" Only fucking RPG element this game should have is the launchable one to the face. If you got this game from a discount pack just delete it from your library - create a better future where for you this game never existed. MachineGames blink twice if Bethesda forced you to make this, I know you can do better.

New Review: After completing this game, I'm fairly confident in saying that I still have strong negative feelings towards this game. Majority of what I said in my original review stands true. However, the two biggest reasons why I feel as if this game does not deserve a good review is due to the final boss fight, and the AI. Building up to it, shooting your way through enemies and the first 3 mini bosses and fairly easy and requires little effort. Then you get to the final boss fight. He is an absolute bullet sponge, even when focusing on his 'critical area'. Not only that, but his second phase is equally as spongy, but (from what I experienced) he was lacking a 'critical area' to target. Secondly, the AI. The AI is very good at two things. The first is getting in your way, especially when you're trying to farm kills for an achievement. Secondly, the AI is very good at not being intelligent. There were multiple moments when I would have to restart due to the AI running through the sw...
I really enjoyed previous wolfenstein games and I did not want to belive the reviews.. I just did not belive that this game is as terrible as people say. It is actually THAT terrible. there is not a single thing in this game that would worth a single minute of anyone's free time. Not yours, not your friend's. Gunplay is terrible... there is no headshot(??!) shooting is extremely unsatisfying in general ( nothing like previous games), enemies are bullet sponges. map design / level layouts are 1 dimensional and boring and they are littered with a lot of bs, camera movement makes you sick. Co-op mechanics are bad story is uninteresting and the characters are cringe... Its so obvious that nobody wanted to make this game idk why they decided to release it the way it is. Does not matter how optimistic you are, what your previous experiences are with shooters, this game is complete ass from every possible perspective. DO NOT waste your time with it.
Absolute, unadulterated, dogwater. The New Colossus was already bad enough compared to the excellent The New Order and The Old Blood (best game in the series alongside Return to Castle Wolfenstein, from which it takes a lot of inspiration from), but this one takes the cake for the by faaar absolute worst game in the series. The only reason i have bought this was to complete my Wolfenstein collection and because it was on a very deep sale for like 3€.
This game is an insult of the Wolfenstein franchise. Don't waste your time.
Third playthrough, one slot on 100%, one on 99,62 - game is still fun. Would like to get a few more missions though :)
Are you kidding me??? Its just like a mobile game that some teenagers have made it in basement
I 100% get why people dislike this entry, but if you are after the wolfenstein-style gameplay you can get a lot out of this game. After the first playthrough I simply muted the main characters and skipped every possible cutscene and it was way better that way. Hopefully MachineGames can fix the story if the series will still continue after this.
I paid only €4.99 and spent around 15 hours on a single run (Normal difficulty), completing all missions—and for that price, the game was well worth it. The gunplay is satisfying, and I really enjoyed the upgrade system and level perks. The plot felt a bit weak to me, and the protagonists have a rather odd dynamic in how they interact—but that's a highly personal take. On the technical side, the game ran smoothly and bug-free, and while it's designed for co-op, I found the AI companion perfectly capable. Overall, I had a good time and would recommend picking it up - especially at a discount. I haven’t played any other Wolfenstein titles, so I can’t say whether it’s a good entry in the series, but as a standalone shooter, it’s fun enough.
My first 6 hours were great, this is a nice world it feels nice exploring and killing stuff. Good graphics. Main characters and arc is good. I do enjoy upgrading stuff and hunting around. The enemies are abit lack luster in their design but they are still fun to kill. People are very vocal against this game and I have not realy understood why yet. I am comparing this as a single player game to games such as Hogwarts Legacy, Tomb Raider and Dead Island franchise. It is on par at least so far.
