About the Game

Wingspan - Relaxing Strategy Card Game About Birds for 1 to 5 players.

The officially licensed digital adaptation of Wingspan, the winner of the prestigious 2019 Kennerspiel des Jahres board game award.

You are bird enthusiasts—researchers, bird watchers, ornithologists, and collectors—seeking to discover and attract the best birds to your network of wildlife preserves. Each bird extends a chain of powerful combinations in one of your habitats. Each habitat focuses on a key aspect of the growth of your preserves.

In Wingspan up to 5 players compete to build up their nature preserves in a limited number of turns. Each beautiful bird that you add to your preserve makes you better at laying eggs, drawing cards, or gathering food. Many of the 170 unique birds have powers that echo real life: your hawks will hunt, your pelicans will fish, and your geese will form a flock.

Features

  • Relaxing strategy card game where your goal is to discover and attract the best birds.
  • Single player and multiplayer modes for up to five players.
  • Based on award winning, competitive, card-driven, engine-building board game.
  • Hundreds of unique, animated birds with their real life sound recordings.
  • Multiple ways to accumulate points with birds, bonus cards and end-of-round goals.

I love Wingspan, and I’ll keep playing it. But let’s be honest: the developers here have consistently focused on the wrong things. The result? A game that looks pretty but feels clunky, where the free version on Board Game Arena is arguably more functional (and that’s without expansions). If you’re buying this to play with friends or family, fine, you’ll get a good experience. But if you’re looking to play online with strangers or against the AI, brace yourself. This game forces you to fight against poor design choices that should never have made it past testing. --- The Good 1. It’s pretty. Really pretty, the birds are animated. Almost too pretty, considering everything else that’s neglected. 2. All expansions are available. Credit where it’s due. 3. Game modes included. The content is there, execution is the problem. --- The Bad 1. The karma system is broken. If another player quits, you get nothing. How is that even defensible? New players are dumped...

Great tits, incredible boobies, and the newest DLC even added a cock. So there's something for everyone. The bird facts on the back of the cards are actually really interesting, and the bird calls are a nice addition. Up to five players, but the bots work fine as well.

I like the animated cards, backgrounds, and the fact that they have added in the bird calls in the digital version if this board game.

An absolute blast. My girlfriend and I have been interested in the board game for a long time, and decided to try the digital version before splurging on the physical copy. I am glad we did! Tons of fun to sit and play two player, also having a computer opponents also helps with playing the game! Highly reccomended.

The perfect game. And the Asia expansion duet mode has created some great new strategy. In general, I love this online version of Wingspan for its capacity to autoscore potential bonus cards, and especially for being able to learn the calls and songs of birds as I play them. Those features make it hard to go back to the physical board game.

One of the greatest board games ever made comes easy to your PC. Fastest setup, no mess and automatic scoring and card activation. I probably play better on this then I do in real life. Easily worth $25.99

Unskippable "Follow us on steam" popup is in EXTREMELY poor taste. Every time I tick "Don't show this again" and every time I'm in the main menu it pops up again. Honestly this is EA-like behaviour.
