Ninja Legends was crafted for VR from the ground up and offers a uniquely fast-paced melee combat experience only possible with vr. The gameplay rewards skillful blocking and parrying to fend off increasingly difficult swarms of enemy ninjas. To advance through all the levels you must learn the proper rhythm and timing in which to execute blocks, parries, melee attacks and ranged attacks. In other words, you must become a Ninja Legend!

Dynamic slicing means your swordplay determines the cut placement and angle.

A VR Ninja must not have a favorite weapon. Learn to wield these claws.

The reach of the Bo Staff provides a unique combat style. Blunt weapons won't slice enemies in half, but they may send them flying!

Triple Kill! Strategic combos with proper timing payoff.

Watch out for that kick! The enemy ninja attack repertoire expands as you progress through the game.

A VR Ninja must defend all sides.

I absolutely recommend this game, but it's not going to be for people who are looking for realistic sword fighting or role playing. For me, I was attracted to the idea of being a ridiculously strong ninja in VR, and just creating a bloodbath destroying enemies. This is normal, right? Anyway, the game delivered. It has satisfying slashing, stabbing, and blocking but it isn't trying to simulate real-life combat. The game has a story but its not the focal point, and its pretty obvious where the devs' priorities were. It is an arcade style action game. I was a beta tester for the game, but I liked the game enough to buy it in early access and I play it way more than I should. It is higher intensity than games like Gorn or Blade and Sorcery, once you get familiar enough with the game to move beyond the beginner difficulty. It has much more interesting enemies than those games as well (just my opinion, I like those games too!), as some of the enemies are mini-bosses or full bosses with mul...

I recently got into VR because I heard a bunch of hype and this is one of the first games I've played that really connected with me. So VR is new to me. I do most of my gaming on consoles otherwise. What I like about this game is that it is really focused on action. When I swing my controllers, it feels like I'm swinging the actual swords! The first level was pretty slow but it ramped up pretty quickly. There are a lot of types enemies and they seem to have bosses too, though I've only gotten to one and he kicked my butt a bunch of times. I can see myself playing this for a long time and I've already put in a couple of hours, which is more that I did in the other VR games I checked out.

Best workout Vr game I've played so far. Easy to learn, very tiring to master. Great wave slasher. Buy it for the fitness, play it for the fun.

I beta tested this game a couple weeks ago and I gotta say that this is a fun and intense VR experience. I played for a few hours in my first session and couldn't get over how satisfying the katanas and claws felt. It's more of an arcade style but I think the developers did a great job with making the gameplay fun and engaging. I especially loved all the different levels and special abilities that you unlock throughout the game. If you're looking for a fun and challenging combat game or you want to feel like a legit ninja this is the game to buy!

Figured I would write a review for this while I waited for my HMD to dry off... Yes, you will get some serious exercise with this game! This game so far is really fantastically amazing! The play setup is a bit like Space Pirate Trainer in that you are confined to a small area and enemies appear and come at you and you have to defend yourself. Most of the combat is close quarters because you are an awesome ninja! I find the combat really fun. The different weapons so far have all been unique in their use and strength of your swing counts! The blocking mechanism is good and I really like the ranged ninja skills I have unlocked so far. Enemies do try to flank you sometimes, so watch out! Even though this is EA, you can tell a lot has been put into it --- enemy movements, weapons, and environments are all pretty incredible. The only warning I will give is to be careful that you don't ninja the back of your hand into your bookshelf while you are trying to smack an enemy combatant ...

So it's like you are in the freakin House of Blue Leaves in Tokyo killing the crazy 88! All you need is the Japanese rock and roll in the background to complete the scene! The game basic mechanics are easy to pick up, but the moves, strategies, and vulnerabilities of the various Ninja's takes some time, but the developers lead you through the learning process progressively. These are not some cubes flying at you, they are aggressive opponents out to draw blood, and watch out for those shurikens. Also make sure you have enough room around you, the Ninja's come from all directions, and you have two swords swing widely. The game is so much fun, and a great workout. Highly recommended. I am new to VR, but this game is freakin awsome!
