I don't know why there are so many negative reviews for this. This game is pretty good and has a really good foundation for more to be built on. It is in Early Access, and the developer seems active, pumping out regular content and update, as well as listening to community feedback and suggestions. I think that's very important to recognise, and so long as you know it's going to be a little rough around the edges, the actual gameplay experience underneath is pretty good. The good: Haven't seen anyone mention the large weapon selection. There are tons of weapons, if I were to guess, probably 20+. You can be an archer, use an axe, sword, sword and shield, dual wield, two handed weapons, etc. Reach matters, and damage matters, they aren't just aesthetic. Large variety in environments, and all of them are unique. Different types of objectives and missions. And they all are relatively short (5-10 min) which I like. You can hire the army of your choosing, and outfit yourself with t...

This game is very bare bones at the moment. Controls are extremely bad on the Index. The game uses a toggle grip setup for everything so it always feels unnatural to grab things. Releasing items when toggled to your hand is a pain on Index and very unintuitive. In my opinion, just grabbing the item when I'm grabbing the controller and release the item when I release the controller, is a more intuitive system. Hand placement on the weapons when gripped is in a awkward static position. Two handing weapons didn't work at all on index. Combat is very stale. You can swing your sword wildly without any thought and still end up killing 50 enemy ai. There's little to no weight to the weapons you end up using, so its easy to kill entire hordes of enemies by yourself. The ai react to your hits with unsatisfying animations. Your able to swing weapons right through enemy swords and shields making them stagger and easy to kill. The levels you get to play through feel like half baked test levels. Th...

I am really excited about this game and the direction it seems to be going in at present. It is early access and because of that is obviously rough around the edges. When you first log on you are placed into a tutorial that teaches you a few basic moves. After this you are in your camp. A few tents litter the location centred around a campfire. Opposite the tents from the fir are two tables and a chest. One table is your contract options, missions you choose with different parameters. Location, reward, number of company and renown. The next table is a choice between Blacksmith, Tavern and sandbox. blacksmith, buy weapons for your ranks. Tavern, recruit men for your ranks. sandbox, editable missions. The chest appears in the blacksmith as well as the camp. you buy weapons in the blacksmith drop them in the chest. When at the camp site you can walk up to you men to change their weapons from the chest. Missions There are three missions to choose and to the right you can select a rank wh...

### Played on Valve Index ### At first glance it looks like mount and blade in VR. Naw, it sucks. Very plain, no map, choose contract battle setup, buy more dumb crap, wiggle-sword-fest Only reason I dont refund is because I hope it improves. Maybe it will.

The core aspect of the game is enjoyable. The combat could use a bit of work and everything needs to be a bit more fleshed out. But overall It's pretty enjoyable. Can't wait to see where this game goes.
