About This Game
It is easy to control, delightfully original, and has a couple of very nice surprises all in a five-minute timeframe. An informative voice-over guides users through the experience.
About the experience
Come face to face with one of the largest creatures to ever walk planet Earth and feed it! The object of this bite-sized educational project is to allow amazing facts to be delivered in an immersive VR experience, with a focus on our Titanosaur – Argentinosaurus.
This ex was custom made fo museums and virtual reality experience centers, with the aim to provide short, easy to onboard but high impact introduction to VR
We love to innovate. In developing interactive installations for visitor centers, museums, and galleries we always aim to bring original concepts to life in new ways. This project blends the simple concept of dinosaur interaction with a friendly, highly detailed 3D mesh model, animating realistically and adjusting it’s poses based on the player’s actions – all delivered using an HTC Vive at room-scale.
As a result, the team has delivered a memorable VR experience blending incredible facts with moments of surprise and delight. In addition, running on an HTC Vive allows participants to move around the prehistoric landscape and inspect this Titanosaur up close using ‘dash’ teleport.
Sir David Attenborough launched this experience last year at York Museum in the UK as part of their Yorkshire’s Jurassic World exhibition and now for the first time, it has been released for the VR arcade and educational use. It is the ideal introduction to VR for the first time VR users. The experience is around five minutes in length.
“Tremendous… I imagine every child for miles around will want to see it!”
Sir David Attenborough.

This is very good game to introduce non players to VR. If you have a partner, parents or kids who are non gamers (ok, kids probably are gamers) then this is one of those apps that will impress them with what VR can do. Its short, and non violent and lets you stay really close to the dino. Its just one dollar ,and for that price it is worth it.
if you want to show a child or your mom a dinosaur, this is hard to beat.
It is a very good tutorial, when you teach it to someone who has never tried virtual reality they are amazed.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift
This is a 3-5 minute cinematic experience with some basic interactions. It's running on the Unreal Engine. You listen to a narrator at the start give some basic information on the Titanosaur. The main interaction consists of feeding the Titanosaur by grabbing a branch and putting it close to the Titanosaur. You get to do this 3 times. You do need a room-scale setup (at least being able to take one step forward) to be able to reach the dinosaur. After feeding the dinosaur, can you then teleport around the map (not before). It's a rather small circular map. Then you can exit the map. That's all there is to it. The graphics are okay. They are bit outdated in 2020. Just basic textures around the environment and rudimentary lighting. The dinosaur 3D model looks nice though. I'm sure little kids would probably enjoy this. Maybe grandma or grandpa, depending on how senile they are. So is that worth $1.99 USD? [b]Rate 5/10. Neutral recommendation....
Such a simple idea and well implemented. Few key points about the species, easily digested. Fun interaction with the dinosaur when feeding. The nephew and niece LOVED it. Who doesn't want to feed a dinosaur??
Fantastic! No better way to introduce people to VR and get little kids to experience something they will never forget. It is short though.
Overall I'd say this is worth it for the price. I just wish that the titanosaur moved around more once you finish feeding it and get to walk around. It feels really lifeless after the main interactive bit is done. That said, this is a great experience for $2 and it's a fun way to demo VR to people who haven't tried it before
