If you like games like Slay the Spire or Darkest Dungeon, you should definitely check out Emberlight. You customize your party with new abilities as you complete missions, but your best work is your own worst enemy. At the end of your mission you control one of your party members and must kill the rest of your party. Later on you fight your strongest party members as enemies so your best work is your worst enemy. Basically, you build a bunch of evil blue mages and then have to fight your past work. It's super cool.

About the Game
Emberlight is a true roguelite dungeon crawler, set in a world where the Gods have given you a great gift - and a great curse.Explore procedurally generated dungeons as a Knight of the Ember Order. Conquer the quests set out before your party, and uncover the lore of the land. Grow your strength by absorbing the abilities of your slain enemies and collecting the powerful traits of dungeon bosses.
Become strong, become quick, become immortal - but be warned - as you fight using unstable Ember powers, they will begin to corrupt and twist your very soul. Every gift of power has its sacrifice; every ability has its cost.
As the Gods fight for control of their creations, you must decide what is good, and what is evil. To protect your people against the dangers of Ember power, you must use its power to your advantage. Will you conquer the dark, or will you lose yourself to corruption?
ABSORB
As a Knight of the Ember Order, you have the ability to absorb the abilities used by your enemies. Every ability used by enemies has a chance to be learned. This allows customization of each character towards whichever goals you have. But each absorbed ability has a cost...
CORRUPT
Every absorbed ability will corrupt your soul. You will slowly lose yourself to evil as the quest progresses. This expresses itself in unstable corruption traits which leads to metamorphosis into an evil being (such as a lich). And you will lose yourself to the corruption...
REPEAT
Each run will last between 30-60 minutes. After completing the quest, the most corrupted will kill off his former allies in an epic battle. This corrupted being will then begin attracting evil around them, and will act as a boss in a future quest once their influence has expanded enough. They will have all the powers you have provided them during the run, providing a never ending challenge in future runs. For every corrupted boss, a stronger party is required to defeat them. And the cycle repeats......forever?

User Reviews
Too many crashes. Too many bugs. Story mode not implemented? Unclickable? Who can say - there's nothing in the game to tell you why. Gameplay is very light with little strategy. You can hardly see the characters against the backgrounds. Shame this, as there's a good game here struggling to get out.
I rly dont understand, why is possible for this game to have positive reviews. Its SO BAD. 1. graphics - unclear mess 2. sounds - omg its 21 century... 3. spell effects - the same as sound 4. tutorial - explain nearly nothing, and spam again 5. what are the number in the skills description? Nobody knows... 6. map - only a few hexes and i must scroll it, lol its so big problem to make it a little bit bigger? 7. gambling hall - wtf? 8. too fast it goes to be boring 9. unbalanced 10. skills - zero combination, you only wait for their reload and then use them 11. no character creation 12. only 3 characters sry, but i must say this looks like a 10 years old FREE browser game. And if i played it 10 years ago as a FREE browser game, i can give it 5/10 but 1,33GB in 2019 and making this... For me 1/10
Ultimately, I chose to refund. It just didn't bring enough to the table.
Turn based dungeon crawler with very nice strategy depth. Its kinda like a dungeon run with a party of 3 (3 arch types to begin, more unlocked with progress) that can be mixed and matched as like for your match/run. Only single player match and challenges or multiplayer matches and challenges offered right now, with campaign still in the works. Your team members start with a few stock abilities and you can buy ones if you have the money at the start of match, and also healing pots. Once in the dungeon you will go room by room, clearing mobs, mini-bosses, and eventually the main boss, to continue to the next stage of the dungeon (depending on how many stages it has) The deeper strategy kicks in as you gain the abilities of the creatures you encounter, and you can give them to anyone you choose in the party, building them up as you want, and keeping in mind that one of your hero's will get corrupted and a battle will commence with the corrupted one against the other two party members...
Buggy. Doesn't seem to have a point. Save your money.
Awesome game
Game needs work but can see lots of potential, needs to e clearer on whats going on at times and needs better tutorials. Showed someone and they said it seemed more like final fantasy combat, unfortunately I never played FF, lots of promise still. Hoping to see what this gamer becomes later on if there any updates to it.
A likable game but has some serious bugs and shortcomings. It doesn't have a true save. If your party dies you must start over. You can suspend the game and play it where you left off but half of the time the game controls freeze when you reload it, leaving no choice but to cancel that game. Game control issues can result in moving to the next room when in reality you clicked on a health potion, often resulting in another battle when you don't have the health to fight. The game seems random and chaotic at times. You might start a game and enter your first area only to find a single powerful enemy waiting there (even though you weren't rummaging through graves), ripping through your practically defenseless nubie heroes......game over. I have only played single-player. Most of the places, heroes, foes in the encylcopedia are never seen. The story mode was never completed. In single-player mode the concept of corruption doesn't go anywhere. The last man standing after the cor...
