About This Game

Crypterion is a new approach to visual novels, mixing open-world adventuring with a complex plot where every choice matters and no two playthroughs will ever be the same.  Start by defining your character, navigate down a myriad of branching paths, and become the most powerful person in Rimshot.

 • Unique blend of visual novels, point-and-click adventures, and open-world exploration, with open-ended gameplay allowing you to decide which way to rise to the top.

 • Over two hundred choices branching the plot into multiple non-overlapping story arcs, fleshed out by a script totaling over 120,000 words.

 • Customizable main character with selectable preferences, dislikes, and more, which the game will react to - and more changes occur as you progress through the game.

 • Explore 6 unique planets of the Rimshot system, seeking a path to riches and power. Build a business, look for spoils, become a TV celebrity - and more!

 • Failure is not an option: When your character stumbles, some paths close, others open - even if these lead to places where you have to work off your debt... Or launch a daring escape.

Interact with nearly 40 distinct characters, including eleven unique crewmates. A Saboteur, Genius, Stowaway, Mechanic, Security Officer, Informant, Cook, Doctor, Pilot, Guardian, and Secret Agent. Build relations, forge lasting friendships, and even entertain marriage proposals.

Players can submit questions on our Discord for a chance to be featured on the in-game TV show, Face To Face®! I found the game randomly on my discovery queue and was intrigued by the premise and art style. It's a sci-fi visual novel mixed with a economic tycoon. Went in pretty much blind and honestly, it's a heavy contender for my game of the year. It's genuinely my favorite kind of game, one that just oozes passion and soul. It's hard to explain, just that every bit of it you can feel the dev was putting their heart into it. I loved every minute of the game and it's crime the game doesn't have more eyes on it. In fairness, despite it's shine it does have some rough edges in places such as with the UI being a little confusing at times and being unsure of where to click or go next but nothing deal breaking. The art is downright beautiful, the story is engaging, and I'm eagerly looking forward to whatever this dev puts out next.

A love letter to the 30-year-old game Gazillionaire (also available on Steam) with a dose of cute anime girls and some tropes I adore. Buy it if space trading and emotionless girls even remotely interest you. Some caveats:

The ending feels very rushed, particularly in its climactic scenes. It's a fun ride, but the lead-in is very sudden and the aftermath is basically nil. Once it happens, you're left feeling
that the girls are best when both are at your side, but you can only pick one, which feels
a bit empty, and not in a compelling way. There are no plans to include such a route.
There is a significant amount of post-game content. I have not finished all of it.
There are some very finicky mechanics you have to interact with to progress the story/find some secrets. The hide-and-seek portion was probably the worst offender; the auction house was pretty bad, too, owing to its inspiration from Gazillionaire's auction system. ...

Fun game, interesting story/characters and worth the price. Game is stretched out on my Samsung Odyssey 32:9 monitor and I like missed the way to properly adjust but wasn't a huge deal.

Première partie en Français, second part in English. 2) After a very solid Omni Link, Roencia delivers once again a very captivating title. Set in the same universe as Omni Link, this is a visual novel with light management elements. In addition to its charming characters and polished art direction, Crypterion is generous...
