About This Game

Do you ever get tired of action packed games where you can’t relax? Do you ever just wanna sit down and play a calm game while still stimulating your brain? Do you like picross? Well if any of those sentences caught your eye or you just wanna buy a random game, this is the game for you!

Experience a calm and relaxing environment for you to enjoy and solve picross puzzles in. Picross puzzles are grid based challenges solved logically by interpreting the unique rules to figure out what cells to be filled in and not. Each puzzle gradually reveals the pixel art hidden.

Levels available range from 5x5 to 20x20 with composite levels up to 20x20 in a 4x4 grid, in total 500 playable levels are available.

Picross Floof comes with automated error checking to avoid getting stuck on levels, but also to add difficulty whilst encouraging the player to think before filling in a tile. The bigger puzzles have more tries before having to start over, try-count is per composite sub level and not for a whole composite level.
If you get tired of a level or need a break you can save your progress and continue at a later time.
Disclaimer The game does not guarantee guessfree levels, that means that there may be levels that can't be completely solved purely with logic.

The other reviews are right. I don't get the impression that the creators understand what makes picross fun and just assumed fun sprite art (and possibly offensive, like "fat man", and copyrighted content like PacMan and Tetris) was enough. Some of the levels will force you to guess repeatedly and then kick you from your game because you couldn't guess correctly. I realize that the description states this, but that just feels like lazy game design when you're actually playing it. "Calm and relaxing" isn't this. It feels like phone shovelware that would be plastered with ads. Even for a dollar I'd say skip it.

Some of the things I disliked about Picross Floof: -Color of the paint is pure black so are the lines. It's really difficult to count the tile because of this (you don't see the difference between paint and lines). There is no option to change paint or grid lines color. -Some of the puzzles need guessing, but I just read from the stored page that they already wrote it in a disclaimer. (The good news is because the game uses lives, you can use a life to guess and not fail the puzzle! This is good) -You don't see title of composite level on mouse hover after completing them, only the images are displayed. -I wonder if they can use copyrighted image like pikachu and such. I know some picross game that use them but is it legal? -Highlight of rows and colums doesnt highlight hints rows and columns which make them hard to know in which row/column you are Things I liked about the game: +Composite level are fun to reveal, they are fun to play +Composite title are also fragmented lol +I like t...

Many puzzles don't have unique solutions. There are no options to make it easier to see when you're working on larger filled areas. There are no options to change the way you keep track of what you've finished. Puzzles are way too easy. But, I payed $1 for it while on sale, so not a huge waste of money.

Good background music, cute red panda, poor implementation of the game. Certain levels require guesswork to progress, not a good implementation of puzzles.

This is not a good Picross - the puzzles are not solvable by pure logic. You have to guess a lot depending on the expected shape of the puzzle. Not a very good fit. No controller compatibility. Achievements require 100% completion which takes *a long time*.

I only paid about a dollar for it, so it's worth the money... But there are plenty of puzzles that are impossible to solve without guessing. A good puzzle game should have a way to figure out the solution without guessing once you understand the rules. Still, it's fun. Just frustrating when you lose your lives on an easy level because you have to guess.

Some of the puzzles are completely unsolveable without randomly guessing.

Look, if you like picross games and are a collector like me, listen to me, it isn't worth it. The puzzles seem to be randomly generated and some of them are not intuitive at all. I'm an experienced picross player and at some puzzles I found myself GUESSING where the next pixel would be because the puzzles had more than one solution. Just trust the other reviews.
