About This Game

Warsworn: Dragon of Japan is a real-time grand strategy game, created by a one-man development studio. Players will draft their own clans, compete in high spirit battles, and come up with epic strategies in order to unify Japan.

  • Risky spy actions when used strategically can turn the tide of war. Spy actions that are discovered by the enemy will have a negative impact on your reputation and honor.

  • Maintaining high honor and reputation is important for the success rate of diplomacy actions. Lower reputation and honor clan are more likely to be targeted by coalitions. Treacherous wills will have the most impact on your reputation and honor stats.

  • Whether it is to combat nearby forces that might interfere, or overpower the opposition with numbers, both AI and player-controlled generals can bolster their military strength, by commanding a joint campaign of two generals.

  • Players can upgrade their cites, regulate faction expenses, research, recruit and disband units, utilize learned character abilities, choose focuses, make use of spy and diplomacy actions, and devise custom war tactics.

  • Initiating a Joint campaign with one of your generals is a good way to increase your fighting force.

  • Yari Asigaru and Nagitgita Samurai are stronger against cavalry units and weaker against other sword units.

  • Risky spy actions when used strategically can turn the tide of war. Spy actions that are discovered by the enemy will have a negative impact on your reputation and honor.

  • Maintaining high honor and reputation is important for the success rate of diplomacy actions.

  • Improving relations with nearby clans will help you avoid getting into a conflict with them.

  • Generals in the recruitment pool with the treacherous attribute have a higher chance of betrayal.

  • Berserker Mode drastically improves the health and attack strength of a unit. Shrines are the most efficient way to increase its activation rate.

I love the idea for this game but it needs soooo much work! It is very rough around the edges and feels like it shouldnt be anywhere close to early access. The battles are too simplistic and there is no tutorial or anything to suggest any story or point or goal. I truly want to give this game a thumbs up because I actually had the release date written on my calendar but right now I cant. Please fix this game because you guys might be onto something if you actually put some time into it.

With what little bit i have played of this game it lacks many many things that make it a fun and enjoyable game, there's little explanation of what does what, much of the icons are made in japanese and the only way to see what they mean or say you have to scroll over them. Some people may like this type of presentation and I can understand this, however for those who want a more ease of access it shouldn't be like this or at least optional. I fully understand this is early access, and I judge early access almost as critically as a fully released game for a good purpose, first of all i hope my critical sense does help make the game better and secondly, the game should never be outside of the realm of play ability. I want to say right now to clear up the air, this game is FULLY playable, it has an amazing foundation for something GREAT! Now i will not say it has enough material to really be enjoyable but i have played a good enough amount of this game to know it is playable and you can ...

I don't understand that game, i try to do. What featuers do i like to have in this game? I like to have a better Battle experince cause you can't Position your troops and you don't see a outline or anything what troops are on your side. The battels are confusing. I like to have mulitple Armies and a free camera in the "CAMPAIGN" I come from the Total war series so it makes sence that i want to have it xd ( I'm from germany )

For a real-time strategy game made by two people, and with the sale price of $17.99 I would say it is well worth it, especially if you are interested in the time period. It can get somewhat repetitive working your way through the weaker factions in the late game. Playing co-op locally worked really well and added a lot to the game. There is still a lot of polishing needed to be done, but overall it's a fun RTS.

game was ok , however during campaign found i could not supply troops even though it should have been possible , i thought it was a bug at first so rebooted only to find the same issue continuing ,regardless to say this brought the campaign to a screeching halt and i have not resumed since
