Mystery Solitaire Grimm's Tales

[i](note: since the game is pretty much identical to the developer's other solitaire games, my reviews are also very similar.)[/i] the usual +1/-1 solitaire with two gameplay modes, one lets you replay individual levels (my preference), the other only entire sets of 10 levels, and you can only start pro mode after playing a bit on newbie. there are 200 levels and completion depends on removing the gold cards, so much so that when you click on the last one, the round ends with a perfect rating, no matter how many cards are left. it's kind of weird because you might miss out on some extra money, but there's a lot of it anyway and you only need it for power-ups, so it's not a huge deal. there are 3 helpers (undo, joker and shuffle), and undo is 'universal' instead of per level, which I'm not a fan of, it makes levels a lot more difficult (or frustrating), but there's something to spend money on, at least, and since you can do so anytime while playing, it can also trivialize levels. as ...

This game is based on the same platform as all the other games from the same developer; only the graphics changed. The story follows no Grimm's tale that I ever read, and the graphics are not only repetitive but often inappropriate, since the same backgrounds are used 3 or 4 times each.

Well, this Solitaire game is different. You don't need to complete the boards, just get all the gold cards to win. Entertaining, just different. 10/10.

"Mystery Solitaire Grimm's Tales" is a basic mobile-app like solitaire puzzle game. Solve various puzzle levels using Klondike style card moving and matching. It's been done a million times before, for free, and free on mobile app stores too... yet this one has a hefty price tag on it. Who knew you can just charge $5 for mobile trash? I guess Creobit does. The "developer", Creobit/8Floor, has copy + pasted this game an insane SEVENTY TWO TIMES onto Steam with minor reskins... why cash in on one asset if you can cash in on multiple copies of the same game? 1. Not a fan of being forced to play full sets of 10 : (I always play for perfect score one or two hands/levels at a time getting perfect on 10 levels takes a longish bit of time) but If you want to quit in the middle of the 10 set you lose your place and cannot pick up without replaying the entire set of 10 (or getting an imperfect score on the hand/level you quit at) 2. Another 'feature' I dislike is being forced to play an entire 10 set on Newbie level even if you are not a newbie - It just ticks me off wasting my time. I choose skip tutorials and still they force newbie level - it's title is even insulting LOL 3. My biggest bug though is that a 'perfect score' is not really a perfect score of clearing all the cards from the field it is clearing all the 'golden' cards which can be way too easy, and sometimes there is a special auto-win special card that when played ends the hand with perfect. This a ok game with that one more try syndrome to it. A lot of this game is luck trying to find that pattern which lets you take of huge amounts of cards in one go, which can be frustrating. In the end though after playing it for 26 hours I am glad that it is done and dusted; would I play another from the series; well i'm not in any hurry too as unless they change the formula, I think I have already seen it all. Definitely wait for a sale on this one and only if you really enjoy these solitaire type games as it offers nothing new or exciting to it.

Nothing special, no story, only straight card games. Worth the 39 cent I paid for it, so recommended.

For a board game and the game play, it's a neat game. You will get frustrated, cuss a bit, but all round good game just to get away and let your mind think on a few things and brush off the ho hums of a not so good day. I like it...

I paid $4 for the bundle of 5 games. Every single one is some microtransaction trap of a mobile game, forcing you to buy items because the "puzzles" are terribly designed. I can't imagine wasting the full $24 off-sale.
