User Reviews
In the 4th installment in the Outbreak series the dev has done a good job of evolving the game on many levels. They seem to be on the right road of many good devs in that they are obviously using their money to further their game creation abilities as well as improving the games themselves, be it graphics, mechanics, engines, assets, story and overall gameplay. (though I'm not interested in F2p games so I'm not sure i'll be playing the next one). This however, as with the previous 3 is quite a nice and fun homage to the Resident Evil genre. The whole series so far has been certainly worth any money I've paid for them and I look forward to this developers continued evolution of both himself and his games. If you are into this genre this game, and the series in general, is certainly worth a spot in your libraries.
Im sorry dude. It hard for me to give a negative vote to an indie game, but holy crap! This is terrible! You can start a freaking game on a locked scenario by CHAINS... and have to solve 3 puzzles with codes and note, walking one way to the other with the worst animation of waking i have ever seen in my life! Whats with the arms movement?! Whats going on with her legs?! Why she makes 3 step but move only 1? The floor is jelly? Jesus man! Fix this and i will buy it again. Im refounding, sorry. This is not playable. Pissed me off.
Absolutely great game - all those positive reviews are definetely not trolling you - you can trust them the game is a polished AAA game that will put Resident Evil series to shame there is an amazing variety of zombies in this game - one male and one female and... ummm yeah that is it - just two skins... so yes it will amaze you and make your jaw drop to the ground you will love every second of this 3 hour experience that could easily take 2 hours or even 1 hour if it wasnt artificialy streched out and make you run from one end of the map back to the other end. It is definetely not some shameful attempt to mask just how utterly short this thing is - it is a trippe A game design that other major developers should learn from Also - it would be the best thing if this game would last only 1 hour but then you could just refund it and we just cant have that The game was made by one dude so I shouldnt be hard on his work - that is what I thought when I was pressing Quit and preparing to...
Pretty mediocre survival horror game. -cheap -low fov and weird perspective -performance quite weak especially for those graphics -extremly low stamina -you can't kill enemies with the pistol or the smg, only knock them down for a really short time, only shotgun, magunm (and grenade launcher) can actually kill which is a really dumb concept. You do get a lot of ammo for the pistol (at least on easy) but its kinda useless as you cant kill with it. I'd rather get less ammo but then can actually kill enemies. -item box and "save station" are often not in the same room and they aren't enough of them which makes you backtrack quite a lot -gun play is mediocre at best and aiming is very inprecise with the laser
So I tried to play it in the wee hours of the night and got too scared. So it's definitely a good horror game! Enjoyed it so far, though the character animations walk faster than she actually moves along the ground. But that's minor.
Complete garbage. Don't waste your money...
Had much fun with it. Recommend normal flashlight. Currently playing the Outbreak saga one game after another, and enjoying them ! - Safe backups: C:\Users\*your user*\AppData\LocalLow\Dead Drop Studios LLC\Outbreak Lost Hope save.dat Disclosure: 69 y.o. slow gamer, used C.E. as usual. - 4 Bytes Exact: Inventory, 16 slots max. Ammo 99,999 - Float: Stamina: full, 2.0000
If you're a huge Resident Evil fan, and you're just craving more of that RE-style gameplay and setting, and you don't mind playing something with a much, much lower budget by a solo indie developer, and you can deal with occasional jankiness and weaker graphics/aesthetic, then this game should be worth your time. This particular entry in this series uses an over-the-shoulder camera view, so if you liked RE 4-6 and the 2 and 3 remakes, this will provide similar gameplay. And considering the type of budget indie Unity asset-flip game this is, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how well the text and story in the game were written. I was expecting much worse. I will continue to check out more entries in this series now.
