Fragsurf

pretty good early access game, if you could port csgo custom maps though workshop that would be epic

I can't recommend this game in its current state, especially considering that CS:GO is free to play. I think Fragsurf could be a great game at some point, but right now it's like surfing and bhopping in CS:GO but with very few maps to choose from. The gunplay is the worst I've ever experienced in any game. If you're curious about the game, you should definitely follow the development, and if you wanna contribute by buying the game, that's great. If you're looking for a game to play, this is not it - yet. Go and join some CS:GO community servers. It's free!

I don't review games as often as I should, but I feel compelled to leave at least a basic review for Fragsurf. Crayz is passionate about everything he does in the world of game development. He has shown this through his work in CSGO servers, his work creating maps for movement modes, and his showcases related to S&box. He then doubled-down on that by having a very transparent approach to developing Fragsurf as a closed-source game. He was constantly taking feedback in Discord, and organizing test sessions with several people to find bugs, test settings, and put progress on the "fast track". The Discord server also has a channel where the title of every commit related to the game's development is echoed, so it's very easy to see what Crayz is working on each day. I first tried Fragsurf years ago, looking for a standalone tricksurf client/game. Since then, the game has evolved significantly in every way you can imagine. This game does such a great job recreating the surf/b-hop experience. Right now (early 2024) fragsurf feels better than combat surf in cs2.
