You Can Kana - Learn Japanese Hiragana & Katakana

Can't speak for everyone, but this, to me, is the single best app I've ever used to learn the alphabets. Busuu, Duolingo, and the hundreds of similar smartphone apps don't offer this level of rewarding repetition and timed-practice on letters. You can learn to quickly spot-read letters in a hurry. My only gripe is this game NOT being on mobile.

Great tool for learning the Japanease alphabet.

A well crafted learning tool. My only minor critiques are that the stroke order exercises feel a little superfluous and I wish you could see the characters in a lesson set after you finished the lesson.

Exactly what I was looking for! Just need reading and writing practice - I wish I could just follow and finish a learning regimen like this, instead of dragging through endless apps

I love this game. This year I started with Japanese. I began learning Hiragana at Duolingo. But that didn't work for me. Because you get the characters random and you can't choose you want to repeat when. Here you can learn in your own tempo and going to the next lession when you are really sure you know it. I have already learned more than with Duolingo in a shorter time. It is also well designed and I love the calming music in the background. Thank you for this game! And I recommend to buy this game if you are looking to learn Hiragana and Katakana!

Its a terrible FPS game. But its an amazing way to learn Hiragana and Katakana. I instantly lost all interest in Duolingo because of this. Amazing. 10/10
