I enjoyed 30XX. Its not particularly difficult with no modifiers, so you might get through it quickly and assume, like I did, that that was it and now its just going to be the same thing over and over just slightly harder each time. It had me ready to leave pretty quickly. The thing was, I was very annoyed that I had no idea what was going on and it felt like the game had no interest in having a story. The intro throws you in with little narrative setup and virtually no narrative bits as you move along. You can sometimes come across data lockers as you play that give you little bits of lore, but they don't seem to connect or mean anything or even relate to much. After three wins I was ready to quit and move on, because I had nothing really to hold on to. But, again, I was annoyed. So I went looking for a plot summary and found the bones of an interesting story! This led me to want to uncover a bit more in my own game, which led to more in game discoveries and the game changing wi...

About the Game
The Year is...
30XX combines the crisp controls and fluid movement you love from action platformers like Mega Man X, the replayability of a modern Roguelike (Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Dead Cells, etc) and co-op play into a single gorgeous package.Awaken a thousand years after 20XX to realize the world that needed you is gone, changed irreversibly by the advent of the Synthetic Mind and a human race that's lost the will to reach for the stars. Explore the lush, verdant prison our world has become, and fight to save what remains.
Rise. Fight. Fall. Adapt. There's a sublime meaning in this endless cycle, somewhere, buried deep.
Features:
- Pulse-pounding action, precise platforming, and beautiful spritework
- Characters with fully distinct playstyles - master Ace's swift, combo-friendly Techniques and Nina's intricate Power Fusion system for even more replayability
- A fresh new set of levels, items, and powers every time you play - 30XX is never the same game twice!
- Roguelike-style progression that lets you tune the game's systems and difficulty as you play, even after you win
- A robust level editor - the same tools the developers use! - that lets you build single level chunks or entire custom campaigns
- Local and online multiplayer, so you can enjoy 30XX with a friend

Amazing Mega-Man X-like co-op roguelite. 9/10 would recommend.
Oh. I never reviewed this. I like this game for its local co-op. I play it with younger family members and they panic and die while I help them as best as I can - killing 20 enemies allows me to revive them. Beyond that, it's got a soundtrack that slaps and overall, it's very much an upgrade to 20XX. There are some secret plot points and things to do to unlock more plot points. I'm surprised there is no hour-long youtube video on "the lore of 30XX." lol

Despite owning 20XX over on the Epic Games store, I've never had a desire to play it from a visual standpoint. Something about it was always off-putting to me. 30XX, though? Completely my jam. The regular mode can be quite challenging at the later stages, but the idea of a single-run, Megaman rouge-like game is honestly really fun! There's also the more traditional 'Mega Mode' that plays closer to a Megaman game, and a mode that lets you select a ton of different, published online stages. The characters are also quite fun; Nina and Ace fill in your Megaman X and Zero roles with their buster + special weapons and saber + technique playstyles. Delta combines that to something closer to Zero from the Megaman Zero series, but with his own twist. Dally is similar to Nina, but is otherwise completely different from the other 3, I'd say. I turned my brain off for most of the lore, seeing as I've never played 20XX, but it's still decently engaging I suppose. It's a shame the game is now no lon...
I liked this game a lot it was really fun, i love indie games and especially megaman ones my sister liked the game a lot to, we would play it everyday.
Pretty fun roguelite, and can play it with a friend. Well polished.
Buena mezcla de roguelike y megaman, la música está god.
Scratches the Mega Man X itch perfectly.
