About This Game

The town of Wolfvale has many secrets. Located in a mountainous region of Washington, the people are generally pleasant and kind. However, in the small neighboring town of Quiet Mountain, a girl living with her father has seen what lies beneath the mask.

Lily.

She isn't popular at school. She doesn't have many friends. Her home is not as safe as a home should be, especially since her adopted older sibling Ash has moved out. Despite everything, she is a cheerful girl with an upbeat and caring personality. At least until she realized she is being followed - by an individual, and an organization. Perhaps the two are related? Lily can't say for certain, but she knows she isn't safe.

She is to move in with Ash in the friendly Twin Elms Apartments, seated on the edge of the town of Wolfvale. She visits often. She is unknowingly visited often.

In the woods of Quiet Mountain, the organization that is following her is sworn to defend against the darkness of these woods. It seeps into the lives of all who dwell within the towns of Quiet Mountain and Wolfvale. They can see a darkness growing around her.

The lone individual, Taylor, follows Lily as well... but for more nefarious purposes. Obsession. Desire. A want to belong in her life.

Lily is taken. The world is a darker place now, and the people are not as kind as they once were....

A mysterious book, a missing girl, and corrupted creatures all intertwine into a dark adventure to recover someone you love.
In a world twisted by unknown forces, reality is only what you perceive it to be.

Writing this review because I know you're probably looking at the price tag and might be scarier than the game itself. Let me clarify the reasoning behind the developers decision to price it extremely high. This game is in early access and is planned to have a total of "8 chapters" with each chapter being about 2-3 hours depending on what difficulty you play on. So far, there are only 4 chapters, with every added chapter being a free update to current owners of the game. This team has poured 3+ years into the development of this game. If you like games with: -Horror -Survival mechanics (Exploring for loot, Healing, Replacing Batteries, etc) -Inventory system -Great Atmosphere -Saves similarly to old school Resident Evil -Sneak -Melee/Firearm combat -Variety of enemies (with some being blind or deaf) -Gameplay that will keep you on your toes around every corner This is for you. Keep in mind this game is not perfect. There will be bugs. So far the only bug I've ran ...

I don't normally write reviews but with the low number of reviews I wanted to write one for this game. If you're like me you probably see this price and are very hesitant as there are a lot of other new AAA games such as Boneworks, Stormland, and Asguard's Wrath. Well after playing the demo, I decided to go ahead and buy and have not regretted it a bit! Although the graphics may not be as good as Boneworks or some of the other games, the atmosphere the game delivers is awesome (very similar to Silent Hill) and very creepy! There is also a ton of game content. I am currently in the 3rd chapter (of 4 for Early Access, 8 planned total) and have spent probably close to 30 hours to get this far. Even though I currently have both Boneworks and Stormland I keep feeling myself drawn to this game and have been spending a lot more time playing it than anything else for quite awhile. Also, the game feels very polished and the devs have been very responsive to questions, bugs, etc. I would...

Only gave it an hour......Yep, awful experience indeed and struggling to progress in game.... its creeping me out! lol great so far and I can not wait to continue tomorrow night XD. UPDATE 24/02/20: 11 Hours of gameplay in yet still not reached the end of the current content (that's right, half of the chapters is yet to be added lol). You can tell that the devs is pouring their soul into this game, willing to take feedback/suggestions (a suggestion from myself is being added into one of the areas just to make something even more creepier, your welcome :P). Silent hill fan and thinking of buying this...BUY IT, there is enough content to play through now and it supports the dev to develop the game further. Its a game bringing silent hill like world to you in VR :D UPDATE 04/03/2020 19 Hours of first play-through gameplay and still not reach the end of the current contact....£30 AAA games of today mostly last around 3-4 hours unless you repeat content again. There is still tones o...

If you are a survival horror fan with VR, this game is almost a must have. Especially if you like retro and difficult survival horror. This game uses the "save items" mechanic to limit the saves similar to older traditional survival horror games. Personally that is actually the one thing I don't like that much about this game, but other than that this game has a great environment and atmosphere. The graphics are not that great, but they are good enough to be able to maintain the atmosphere. It also requires you to manage your health items and ammo and to backtrack and solve puzzles. Also, this Early Access game litterally has a massive amount of more content than many fully complete games. I'm currently almost 5 hours in and still only near the end of the first area ( out of 4 that are currently in the game, 8 are planned for the final release ). The only other thing to say is you should be aware that this game's interface and controls does feel a bit indie, as it doesn't actually u...

Game is in early access and the beginning is a little rough around the edges, but stick it out! What waits is an awesome throwback to the Silent Hill and Resident Evil games of yesterday. Game is a ton of fun and has high tension with item gathering, lore, combat, etc. Definitely recommend giving it a go! PS. Its a very long game as well as I'm at 4 hours and haven't even completed the first part (I believe there are 8 parts planned) EDIT: I now have well over 35 hours into the game and I am coming to the end of available content. Considering its is only 4 out of the planned 8 chapters, that is incredible!! This has quickly become, despite being developed by a small team, one of my favorite VR games of all time. It PERFECTLY captures the tension and feeling of classic survival horror!

This is the BEST VR horror game to date and easily the scariest as well. I have played a LOT of horror games in VR (and not in VR) and this one has scared me and made me uneasy more than any other game I think I have ever played. It is far from just a bunch of jump scares. The game plays a little bit like an old school horror game (think silent hill or resident evil). The biggest difference that this game has from those older games is how much depth this game has in terms of playstyle. One second you're sneaking behind a monster and the next you're turning around and running for your life because you don't have enough health to get into a fight. The only reason you don't have enough health is cause of the last fight. seriously I can't stress enough how incredible this game is, I don't know why it isn't more popular. don't let the price scare you away either because I'm 5 hours in and still only on the first chapter. The devs are also very responsive in their discord channe...

First off i saw a reviewer say organ quarter is better than this that is in fact ridiculous and false in my opinion this is the real Silent hill VR and This is by far my favorite VR game and it also happens to be the most underrated one as well 8 hours in and i'm realizing how huge this game is and loving every second of game play i see others here complaining about the price in my mind it's well worth it for the amount of time i can get out of it comparing to all these other vr games also these developers seem very passionate about their project and constantly updating i can't praise this game enough it's scary, thrilling, highly detailed and a must have this is the kind of vr experience we should all be supporting in fact i plan on buying it for a family member as well
