Overall, this is a fun little platformer that is totally worth an hour or two. Unfortunately, that's its max length. I'm recommending it, but with some caveats that make me feel like it isn't worth it's full price, it's really only worth about half that: -It is short, and even for such a short length, it needed a few more enemy types thrown in -The controls are just a little floaty, but you adjust to it and it isn't painful -Even though It seems like a metroidvania, really, it's pretty linear as you just keep going from one side of the map to the other to slowly open rooms a little further on each side; you never really feel like you can just go off and explore because you can't, you always have to go where you need to go next -
The two bosses you fight are pretty much back to back because of this, and with the more linear feel, would have been much better split up over the gameplay time
-
The last item you get, the sword, is great (to finally have a projecti...

A cute old-school platformer with a catchy soundtrack, and quaint pixel graphics, and a sense of humour but marred by sloppy, laggy controls.
This game is awesome. Controls like a dream; not too easy & not too hard...
Love this game so far. It's slightly challenging but still fun to play. Music & graphics are great. Gameplay is smooth and responsive with a controller (used an XBONE controller). Reminds me of NES Goonies II. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/383019595
Well, from what I have played so far, I know Im going to enjoy the game. It just has that classic feel to the pixel world. Though I find the keys used I'm not used too. It uses the W,A,S,D keys for movement which im not used to. The storyline seems basic to me but it shouldn't really matter in the long run. Overall I recommend this game because I know im going to spend hours playing this game because a challenging retro pixel game is always a classic :). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts5KsmTwmao
I give this game a thumbs down mainly for the poor keyboard controls and the XBONE controller not working at all.
This plays exactly like Tiny Dangerous Dungeons. The same map system and all. I've re-checked every room 3-4 times and not seeing any way to make progress. I got a key, but there is no accessible door to use it on. I can't help but feel the game wants me to do something obtuse like wander around in the rooms that are too dark to see anything. If the map was better, perhaps I would not be stuck like this.
Initially, I had left a bad review for this game after rage quitting it within 30 minutes of gameplay. But I gave it another try and changed my mind about it. It's just not a casual platformer that I expected it to be like the beautiful pixel graphics had me believe it was. In fact, the game is a little challenging because it feels like your hero Oliver always has lube under his shoes - he keeps sliding off every now and then. But you do get used to the controls and get quite good at it as you play more. There is a sense of achievement as you progress in the game because you have to put in some work to gather powerups for Oliver. The game also gets a little easier with the power-ups as they enable you to skip the nasty parts like narrow slippery platforms that were a real pain while you were trying to reach the powerups during the initial part of the game. In conclusion, it's a fun somewhat challenging platformer.
Very good Very nice
What kind of a sick bastard would put tiny ice platforms in a game?
