Smile for me is a unique experience. It's got an interesting mesh of 2D character models, 3D environments and real world graphics. There's some narrative there but I don't think it really says much, so I appreciate the individual characters and dialogue more than the overarching plot. The characters are interesting or funny and the little quests they have are enjoyable. They're also well designed conceptually, and had more depth than I expected. One character feels unrequited love for another. Another is desperate to reconcile with his daughter and reflects on the nature of fatherhood. A third really just wants to smell like pickles. A fourth is aware of her 2D form in a 3D world so she's kind of just curious to see a butt. There's variety there and I appreciate that. Most of the gameplay is shaking your mouse to nod yes or no, interacting with people and items to talk to them, or walking away from them to trigger dialogue. Smile For Me is a game that means a lot to me The aesthetic, the FEELING, I am so bad with words but I daresay I'd struggle even if I was a novelist to describe how this game makes me feel It's so simple, it's a game about small acts of kindness, of making the world happier one person at a time That's not just fun, that's beautiful

A nice little game! The atmosphere and characters are very interesting! The game play elements and puzzles are fun and engaging. Good game :-]

I liked that it was unsettling and creepy, but still super wholesome with a really sweet message. I just wanted to give this whole game a hug when it was over. <3
