About This Game

Throughout history, civilizations have risen and fallen, each with its particular culture, habits and myths. With the evolution of human knowledge and the advent of modern technology, humanity has become more and more skeptic and have strayed away from their deities. But centuries of glory and power cannot be forgotten….

Get ready for conquering the world as a God! But don’t think it’s going to be that easy. Humans have evolved in many aspects since the mythological times, so be wise while using your divine abilities: Show compassion to those who have nothing and they will love you. Take from those who have everything and they will fear you. Watch out for the events happening all around the globe and avoid skepticism. Make humanity praise you!

Choose your God, evolve His traits, build temples and cast your abilities. Convert territories, gain worshipers and make the Earth belong to the gods once again! Long live the Greek Gods!

Features:

  • True-to-life scenario: 71 distinct territories with stats modeled after their real-life counterparts, including other religious presences;
  • Twelve major and nine minor gods: From the very famous to the most uncommon Greek myths;

  • Real-time events: Take advantage of them and gain bonuses or fail and watch skepticism rise;
  • More than 250 divine abilities: all of them based on actual mythological tales about its God;
  • Use your blessings or curses to gain Faith: Spend it to buy more abilities, develop traits to gain bonuses and even recruit a minor god that might be able to affect attributes you can’t.

It's an interesting concept that could have been done well, but it's mostly just frustrating game play. Why do your powers not work this time? Because. That's why. And there's a definite ideological bent that I found not so much uncomfortable as just a bit stupid. If I'm a Greek God/Goddess, why would I believe things like: Parents who aren't financially prepared should be prevented from having kids GMOs are bad in any form Refugees are always good to accept anywhere and open borders are the best Companies, corporations, and so on are evil, but free things from the government is very good etc These are modern day beliefs that do not fit into an Ancient Greek mindset. So many of my 'powers' seem to involve stuff like getting the government to offer free school/arts/child enrichment things, which is bizarre. It's a frustrating game that can't decide whether it's turn based or not, with no apparent growth of belief in you happening without you spending your points (just like real reli...

Very fun game with an interesting concept, reminds me of Plague Inc. Still has room for improvement, but when in contact with the developer my feedback is always heard and I see the changes very quickly.

I bought this game as I'm a great fan of the God games. I have to say that at first I wasn't able to fully recommend the title. However what convinced me is the latest update. With the 4 scale slider for the various stats and some further balancing I decided to try to game once more and the experience was a much better one. I think that the frequency of random events has also improved, which is important in the game where not a lot happens without your actions. If the game will continue to develop in this direction I think this might just become s very satisfying God Game, so as for the Early Access, I recommend Anthropomachy.

So the game is dull, slow paced, and infused with modern politics. I had thought about getting this for my daughter because she loves Greek Mythology, but after playing it for a little time, this isn't something I'm comfortable sharing. On its surface, it's a resource management game, but really you spend most of your time waiting for events to happen, and the result of your decisions will end up being completely random. As of writing I have 42 minutes in the game... maybe it got better at some point, but I will probably never find out.

Having loading screens when going in or out of the skill tree. Lack of information about how stuff works behind the curtains.

*Early Acess review* Thise game is a lot like plague Inc. Exept your religion doesn´t spread on its own, but by godpower actions (purchasable like the disease traits) So you end up looking for countries that have traits that your powers can change - which is more in your controll and more visible to you than in plague inc. Howerever it FEELS like you would have less controll than in Plague inc because you have only a limited amount of belief to purchase preachers, powers and usage of powers - I havent managed to reach even half in any country in the few runs I´ve done before running out of belief. TLDR - intresting plague inc brother, unfortunatly not fun.

Great potential, but needs more content.

At the moment i will say wait for this to be updated more, the tutorial is not very helpful, and you can easily get lost with how to proceed, or what to do. This game has potential, needs some updates to explain everything more to a new player.

While the game has alot of potential, if you're expecting something like plague inc, or pandemic but with gods this isn't it. This is a long haul game where you have to very carefully play exactly how the developers envisioned and if you don't you'll find yourself sitting at the screen for hours on end waiting for random events to show up that use RNG to determine success,. Even if you have 100% traits/rates, you can still fail. While the game is a very interesting concept, it lacks surfacing basic UI elements that most games would use to communicate instant feedback to the player, and instead of a "steady resource management" game as the videos try to make you believe it is, its a "pool of resources" strategy game. If you make any mistakes, (by which I mean if RNG hates you, or you don't select the options the developers preordained as the 'good option') you get stuck and likely have to start over. Sure you could wait for random events, but you cannot even tab out of the game to wa...

Not impressed with this game. Feels like something that I would play on a flash site but not a game that I am happy to pay for.
