It's not like the game is bad but it's just... not very fun. The game presents itself as a survival with soft RPG elements but both of those things get old very, very quickly. The game starts hard, like others that you have nothing and you're barely scrapping by but saddly, the more you play, the easier it gets to have resources and the less tension there is. At the beggining, the game HEAVILY discourages you to fight at all because you have a psych meter that, per each kill, it slowly goes down and down. In other words, the more people you kill, the crazier you will become. In theory this sounds awesome... except for what I said earlier: very quickly you will have SO much items that it's absolutely useless to sneak around and there's gonna be a point where it's 10000000000% better just to run and gun, pop some plants or drink alcohol and keep doing it fast. Quests that at the start took me about 45 minutes to finish, by the end it barely took me 5 minutes with the gun and ...

Unfortunately, Chernobylite just didn’t land for me. The building mechanics are incredibly clunky and unintuitive, making base management more of a chore than a feature. I was hoping the story would at least carry the experience, but it felt half-baked and disjointed, like it couldn’t decide what kind of game it wanted to be. I gave it about three hours, but ultimately couldn’t justify sticking with it. Disappointing overall.
Chernobylite is an atmospheric survival horror game that combines exploration, crafting, and an engaging story set in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. The setting is excellent, with detailed graphics and a heavy, tense atmosphere that keeps you on edge. The crafting and resource management system adds depth, and the non-linear narrative allows for multiple approaches and endings, giving good replay value. Some mechanics can feel repetitive, and the combat is a bit limited, but nothing that ruins the overall experience. The Complete Edition includes all DLCs, offering a full package for those wanting to dive deep into the story and world. 🟢 Recommended for fans of atmospheric games with complex stories and survival challenges. 🏆 I completed 100% of the game. 🥇 I also earned all achievements, which shows the game has enough depth and content to keep you engaged. ⏱️ Hours played: [43,2]
Se a parte final da história fosse um pouquinho melhorada, seria um jogo excelente pelo o que oferece.
Way too slow and too much cam lock out. Looks pretty cool tho just hate not getting to "play" the game.
7.5/10 this is a rewrite of my last review, now after finishing the game. I must say this game is not the greatest , but at a discounted 6 euro price it's definitely worth the price for the experience it offers: The story is great, the characters are mostly great with a few shallow parts, the world building, atmosphere and look is stunning by all means without it being *too* demanding of your GPU and the end of it settles like a story I haven't experienced in a pretty long time. And by all means, the choice system in this game is all that Dying Light 2 was supposed to be before the release. Everything impacts the narrative, your companions comment on every one of your actions and it adds so much to the setting. Now for the bad parts: -The voice acting isn't consistent, but the russian one is better by a margin. -The mission _*gameplay*_ is quite bare bones, without much to interact with in the world besides lore notes, pads, computers and pictures directly related to the main story, it...
Been intrigued about this game for years, and knew what I was getting into before hand. But, everything is so lackluster. The graphics are nice, and can look great with RT, but the optimization for it had to be turned off by my second level because of constant screen flickering. For a while, the music, ambiance, and environment will hold your interest much like the story, but will quickly wane and repeat in it's blandish empty cycle. After, the first four hours I switched all three difficulty sliders down from hard to easy (for three hours) to speed up the monotony of the same seven levels that remain barren aside from the occupation of four to seven of the same two enemy types which have bogus ai that pose virtually no threat. I did this hoping the story extra teammates would ramp up the urgency and shake things up. Yet, nothing changed. It became boring rather quickly. Honestly, the only difference in difficulty is enemy health, which is still not a real issue. The survival and e...
People with UWD may have noticed the visibility issues of it being too dark or too light. Here is the solution: 1) Options 2) Video 3) FOV: slide all the way to the right.
This is one of those Important Games. It really helps sell the feeling of the world left behind from the real-life disaster (with an option to tour the maps and learn historical facts being a MAJOR plus). It has a few early jump-scare moments, but they're not distracting. I wouldn't say it's a 10/10 game, but it's a game I would hand off to a friend who "wants to think about what they're playing". Honestly, I could easily see people challenging themselves to beat it on the hardest difficulty. Well done, worth every penny. Solid 7/10. If on sale, GRAB IT.
I remember buying this when it launched in early access and while I found the art design and general idea behind it appealing, it was in a really rough state back then. Nothing of that is a problem anymore and the game really feels properly polished. Early access done right here. I really like the game. Basically everything about it. It ticks all the checkmarks for me. Interesting art design, graphics, sound, music, characters, story, RPG decisions and even features survival elements that arent needlessly complex to the point that they get in the way of enjoying the game. It definitely does draw some inspiration from STALKER but at least from a gameplay and how polished the game is standpoint its way better. Never was too much into Stalker due to how janky the engine in general is which makes shooting a chore and the AI was always unbelievably dumb. The only thing STALKER got over Chernobylite is the amount of locations. The main part where you notice some budget limitations is, ho...
