IMPORTANT: Before playing this game, do yourself a favor and install this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/prototype/mods/52 so you can actually play the game Prototype is fking awesome. I remember playing the sequel when it came out but never played the original, until now. And I really enjoyed it. It has its flaws, for example wacky enemy AI in some parts, and some of the challenges being plain stupid (looking at you, Raid). Also the story was kind of whatever. It seemed to focus only on the plot with no character development whatsoever. But anyway, I think I'm being too harsh on the game. You will feel like a badass in this game. There's actually a lot of value in doing all the challenges and side content, because you get to unlock powerful moves and increase your health to become even stronger. This game was a favourite growing up and I'm pleased to say it still cooks... BUT, it has been allowed to become pretty much unplayable on PC, the only way to play being the use of an unofficial fix from Nexus. If you have no experience modding what so ever, I'm afraid you'll either have to learn or give up on playing this game on PC.

Biological transhumanism, gritty anti-hero with blades for arms, apocalyptic cityscapes, tense music, and the action equivalent of World War 8. Can this game be anymore edgy ? Genuinely, they don't make games like this anymore.

can't recommend. Game will launch, but starting a new game (idk about continuing, didn't get that far) causes the game to crash. too late for me to get a refund, but then again, it is only like $20 so not the biggest deal. Still sad I can't play a game I really love.
