This game is extraordinarily immersive and leaves you wanting to start "just one more mission." I love the novel Roadside Picnic, the old Russian movie called Stalker, and the Stalker game series, so getting Into the Radius as one of my first VR games was a really great choice.

About This Game
MAIN FEATURES
Dozens of hours of slow-paced suspenseful survival.
An unforgiving dystopian environment of the Pechorsk Anomaly Zone.
Diverse natural, industrial and urban locations with vast exploration potential.
Navigate with your realistic map, plan your route, climb over obstacles, scout out shelters, uncover loot caches, and try not to get killed.
Realistic handling of various classic and modern weapons.
Day and night cycle: scavenge for loot and scout during the day, sneak around and evade your enemies under cover of night.
Dangerous anomalies, bleak atmosphere, and urban exploration.
EXPLORE THE RADIUS
Explore miles and miles of forests, swamps, and crumbling industrial ruins. But be careful: the Radius is filled with deadly anomalies dealing damage to anyone foolish or daring enough to get close.
The place is swarming with hostile creatures — Fragments, Mimics, and more are roaming around 24/7 and will take every chance to let you know you are not welcome.
COLLECT AND FIRE REALISTIC GUNS
Into the Radius features a stunning variety of classic and modern firearms like the AKM Kalashnikov, PM, SKS Carbine, M9 Beretta, PPSh, FN SCAR, and many more with matching ammo. Realistic interaction, manual magazine loading with different ammo types, and weapon attachments.
Take care of your weapons — if they take damage or their condition deteriorates, they will begin to jam. Be sure to switch off the safety before you start firing! Realistic bullet physics causes ricochets, and bullets can penetrate different materials.
SURVIVE
Your only means of survival is to sneak around with your detector, hunt for artifacts, and complete the missions assigned via the vintage UNPSC desktop at the base. Your trusty friends in the Radius Zone are stealth, silence, and planning.
Understand how to navigate the terrain, move slowly, take cover, crouch, sneak, and beware of the threats around you!

This is easily a top 3 game for me. 1. Sliders scared the shit out of me so much I had to take the headset off. Good job 2. the home feeling + the not home feeling 3. gunplay is unnecessarily sharp and clean 4. Indie dev team 5. The immersion is nuts 6. Ambiance horror with the catharsis of 12 gauge
ITR is an amazing game. As a VR experience, it is up there with the best. It is obvious that they took some heavy inspiration from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, and while doing that, it still manages to be it's own thing while mainly nailing that atmosphere pretty well with the VR aspect really cranking it way up. It is the things like running around with a rifle, getting something approaching you close by and while gripping the rifle by the hand guard you let go of the trigger grip, pull your side arm and hole a mob with it before sticking it in the holster and readying your main again to hole something bigger, further away. It is mega satisfying. ...when it works, which is one aspect I do want to cover. VR is inherently clunky, and for some reason ITR felt much more clunky than needed. An example would be that you get told in the tutorial that you grab past your head on the right, you grab your main off your back and if you grab past the left, you grab your backpack. ...
I went into the radius and never came back😭😭😭
While it took me approx 2-3 years to finally finish this game through several phases of playing VR, I absolutely enjoyed it. While the game was recommended to me by a friend as a "Stalker like", it quickly became evident that although the games setting, style and gameplay is indeed very similar to Stalker at times, it set iself apart and above all became much more than what i was hoping for and expecting. Looking back at it, the game is - sometimes - indeed pretty barebones, especially compared to its sequel in some aspects (though the sequel - still in early access - is missing some core features of this one (im looking at you gas mask)). But it will forever maintain its very special and loveable charme. Absolutely can recommend this game. It could go down in gaming history as a VR classic.
I feel like into the radius 1 is the Russians dealing with the anomaly and into the radius 2 is the Americans. This game is also overall amazing.
This game is really beautiful and really good and I'm gonna keep playing it but there's some major issues. Also keep in mind I've got something more along the lines of 100 hrs playtime if you include how long I've spent in the standalone Quest version of the game. The game's physics system is pretty basic, objects will collide with other objects and you can't shove items through walls. However it does not work very well while moving, which means you can't perform any fine actions while retreating from enemies or changing positions. (Which you have to do a lot.) You can't easily interact with your weapon, grab items from your backpack/pouch, or throw things that normal velocities if you're moving in any way. Also the game is just poorly optimized and laggy. Really laggy. If you point a two handed weapon at an enemy it can take upwards of two seconds for the game to actually recognize what you're doing and let you aim properly. My pc meets all listed specifications, I leave all settin...
The game looks incredibly detailed and interesting, bu the performance is so terrible the game is effectively unplayable.
