Very underestimated little game. I've played this for 50h+ with my kids and had such a great time of it. While it has a little learning curve to it, due to many controls and unusual interface, it's still extremely simple to get started with. Between digging, light gravity maneuvers, and portals, it has some complexity to it as well. It contains some really novel ideas, which makes this game stand out. For example, "Sudden Death" after one player is out, makes the waiting really short for the dead player. Single player is only there for something to do when waiting for the other players. So, don't get your hopes up on that. Aim for multiplayer. It has some likeness to Liero, which is a great game, though Liero is bit dated in terms of usability compared to Chaos Caves. Chaos Caves has support for more players and hand controls, but less variety in guns and mods than Liero, due to that games large amount of user-created enhancements. There are some UX tweaks needed to make it a bit...

About This Game
The standard game is continuous rounds where everyone gets a random weapons (RPG, Laser, Grenade, C4, Bouncer, or Nuke) and 3 utility tools (grapple, thruster and drill), played on one of the 5 biomes, each with unique elements (eg. the Ice Cave is slippery, so you'll need your boost rocket to get up steeper slopes).
Each round only last about a minute and once any player is dead it's sudden death for everyone else, so all players can have non-stop fun.
Gamepad controllers are fully supported and one player can play from a keyboard, for up to 5 players.
In single-player mode you need to destroy towers, some of which are shielded (touch the shield controller with your vehicle to disable it) - you can practice both weapons and acrobatics.
Not sure? Try the free version (the "Download Demo" button on this page), which is the same as the full game except only the class RPG weapon is available (it's the most balanced weapon in the game).

Awesome party game when friends are over. Quick rounds means you are always playing. We have never laughed so hard playing for hours. A must buy for friends who love quick games and killing their friends.
Reminds me of Liero, but mostly just makes me think about how Liero is better. It's harder to move around somehow, and the weapons, while crazy, are too few in number and it seems you only get one per fight. The damage model is inscrutable, often the player who takes more damage is not the one closer to the center of the explosion?
unplayable mess/joke
