Rotund Rebound is an extremely high quality passion project about a bunch of fat, cute animals bouncing (platforming) around through a large super mario brothers-esque world of various levels. It's super fun, cute and evident that the devs put a LOT of love into this game. Highly recommended.

Quick Score: 5/5 Notes: One of the most polished and underrated games on steam. Could not recommend the game enough. If you are someone who generally enjoys platformers and prefers them more on the challenging side, this is the game for you. A barebones playthrough of the game would take maybe 3-5 hours depending on your skill level. However, 100%ing this game AKA beating all developer times and obtaining all flag medals, will push you easily to 100+ hours of playtime (depending on if you route the levels yourself). Really not anything bad I can say about the game. Just pick it up and play it, you will not regret it. And while you are at it, feel free to check out the other games in the franchise.

This is one of those demanding platforms kind of in the vein of Super Meat Boy or VVVVVV, but in this one, you play a chubby rabbit named Chubbit, and there's no jump button -- instead, you mostly move just left and right and touch tiles that bounce you in different directions and speeds depending on the type of tile. You use this to move through the levels and avoid enemies and spikes, collect leaves, and rescue your animal friends who were captured by an evil poison carrot or something. Each level has three different types of medal you can get based on your performance (though I'm not entirely certain what each one represents). There's also an overworld map with branching paths and areas that are locked off until you get enough medals, as well as boss fights and minigames. I've only played about an hour and a half of this so far, and got a few levels into world 2. To be honest, I'm not really the intended target audience for this type of game. I don't have the dexterity to be good a...

Rotund Rebound is the culmination of Dahku's Rotund Game Series trilogy, and it's proven itself to be one of the best 2D platformers I've ever played. I've been a fan of this series back when it was just one game called Chubbins for the Wii U (remade for Steam/Switch as Rotund Takeoff), and since its announcement in 2018 I was eagerly anticipating Rotund Rebound's release. And it delivers in every single aspect! The basic concept is that you're always bouncing, and you must make your way through many challenging levels, preferably in a quick amount of time. This game exceeded my expectations in its scope and mechanics. Rotund Takeoff has a good amount of gameplay ideas, but Rebound expands with a lot of new ideas being introduced. Four new enemy types, sideways blocks, new powerups that alter how you play through the levels, six playable characters that have subtle, unique abilities, optional minigames you can play on the side, three different methods of playing through the levels tha...

Definitely the best rotund game by far, though doing flag time on the real boss rush sucks and is not fun.
